I think Kia have overtaken Hyundai as the most successful of the Pacific Rim producers. I've heard some good things about their vehicles, albeit from the USA (my sister in law has one), where they may judge these things by different criteria.
My early experiences of these types of budget cars was only as a passenger, but didn't leave me with a particularly good impression of their build quality etc. They seemed plasticky and lightweight.
My fridge-freezer is a Daewoo. Thought you might like to know that!

True only if your Pacific Rim doesn't include Japan. Here in the US those two are gaining in popularity due to their lower price points, but their build quality still lags behind their Japanese competition.

I'd say it looks like a mixture of a ford, aston martin and fiat punto Err....Aston Martin?.......I think you either have a very vivid imagination or you are very kind. Unless you mean the warped version of the Aston grill!
