Is JMB forgetting your birthday? Here's why...

No its not because nobody loves you or anything...

If you hide your age on your profile page, your birthday will not be displayed in the "Today's birthdays" section on the front page of JMB.

Its just Proboards respecting your right to privacy I guess.

Take a tip from me and "unhide" your birthday the day before if you want some nice happy birthday messages from your mates on JMB. Then put it back to hidden again the next day hoping no-one has looked up what year you were born

Don't forget, there's also the ongoing problem that at least some members can't see any birhdays once they're logged in as a bug means that the bit of the board where you should see birthdays just says 'hidden' instead of user names. Weirdly, they do show if you aren't logged in! I brought this up months ago, but I've no idea how many members are affected. It's not just because people have chosen to hide their birthdays.

Hi Wy, I've posted on Proboards Support to please fix and they've replied that they have fixed the problem.
Are you still seeing same as before (or not) in the birthday section?

Just to rule out another possibility - Proboards have suggested to check that have you got the birthdays section "hidden" - with the red cross icon on the right of the birthdays section?

Now here's a weird thing - I have never noticed before, but there was a big green tick next to it. When I clicked it, it turned into a big red cross... but now I can see whose birthday it is. How odd - I certainly never clicked it intentionally at any point!
