Thoroughly enjoyed it!
The Pagani looked slow, but apparently not! Its wing mirrors do look extremely foolish!
The Bentley did well around the Sweet Lamb rally stage! And Chris Meeke is a top bloke, so I think the tense start would be for TV.
The SIRPC annotation should be 'slush' as it was quite clearly NOT snow! But the boy did well, whoever he was!
The quad bike based P45 was just silly, but a good laugh! I can imagine it being properly terrifying on a main road!
I do think they should get some script writing in for the 'banter between the boys' bits as they are a tad stale now! The tractor book?
All in all, having split those tiny hairs - a good start!
I didn't see the pole - 8 for me!

Well, I liked it.
I thought all the segments were excellent; the excited enthusiasm of Richard in the Pagani, James loving the Bentley then having to learn something new in the rally, an unusual SIARPC lap and Jeremy's total silliness with the P45 (thought I think this was just a tiny bit too long).
A very good start to the new series!
(Edit - 9, by the way!)

Really enjoyed it from start to finish. I think the boys were as glad to be back as we were to have them back! Loved Richard reading 'Tremendous Tractors', finally getting to grips with how the hell you're supposed to pronounce Huayra, the Bentley catching some air and Jeremy making me laugh so hard it hurt. I've missed them something chronic and I'm glad their return has been worth waiting for

I really liked it. The Pagani and the Bentley were great. Jeremy's segment was hilarious. Good to have them back. I was hoping it would end up on Graboid quickly.

What a great start to the new season, which i fear will fly by Loved the Pagani - I want one ;D The Bently piece looked amazing fun, i would love to do a spot of rallying, it must have been so hard to concentrate on those directions! Jeremy in the P45 was hilarious, love it! The priceless line though came from James calling Richard Mr Toad

A good start I thought. Whilst the Pagani is undoubtedly very fast, I think it looks a wee bit silly: and like bits will fly off.
Loved the Bentley part but felt a bit sorry for James' back and his stress levels. That was a tough but exciting assignment for him.
I'm not Jeremy's biggest fan at all but I did laugh out loud at the P45. Ridiculous but very funny.
Agree with Flat on the news - although there was plenty of innuendo, I just feel there's very little spontaneity although I liked James' comment on Richard's clothes!

So pleased to see them back. Surprisingly for me,I enjoyed the P45 bit best.It made me laugh a lot.Though that could,in part, be due to the two bottles of cider I was drinking to celebrate their return.

Richard sounded like some kind of Muppet when he was power-sliding the rear end of the Pagani and doing that weird whoop. It was adorable!
James May's exultation about the Dacia Sandero was so perfect. He's been waiting years for this day! Wonder if he's going to replace the Panda with one. I'm hoping they'll get one on later in the series and let him go all nerdy over it.

I gave it a 7. Loved James' rally segment and Richard's enthusiasm over the Huayra, and the SIARPC was ok and had a slow but very entertaining lap. (Love the guy, he'll probably always be Winters to me.) The news was funny but felt a bit uninspired to me, though, and Jeremy's P45 segment didn't really do it for me. Some parts were hilarious, while some were not ... I think the Dragon's Den part would have been a lot more entertaining if he'd actually tried arguing for the P45, being a bit more arrogant and confident instead of playing stupid. (And the car wash was just ... no.) Still a good episode overall, and very, very happy to see them back! And best of all: The preview makes me think there are lots of even better things to come!

So good to have them back. Overall I loved it. Jezza's P45 was hilarious though I had to ask what the last bit was about. Total mystery to us Aussies as we don't get that show over here. The rally was fab and brilliantly shot, as always. The news was a bit up and down for mine. And is there anything more insanely beautiful than the interior of a Pagani?? I think not. A 9 from me. ;D

I would also like to give a 'best supporting cast' award to Hammond's trousers. Quite... eye-popping... at times ;D

I did notice they were, shall we say tight. There's a group called Il Volo that are a worldwide sensation and are only 19. Their pants are extremely tight. The girls go crazy over them.

LOVED it I am spending time trying to make Beth say 'Huayra' now LOL I enjoyed the P45 segment so much. I actually did laugh til I cried, especially at the DD part. I loved how the voiceover worked, with Theo telling Jeremy that his idea was crap, and the voiceover said 'Theo said that Jeremy's idea needed more work'. Ralying in a Bentley..... interesting idea! And they didn't come last. I think there should be a book called 'Fifty Shades of Tractors' ;D ;D

After having to wait until Monday to 'borrow' this and another couple days to find the time to squeeze in some viewing time, I finally made it through the episode. I'm so glad to have the boys back! They don't look any worse for wear, and they all made me laugh. I'm usually a bit bored with the straight car tests, but Richard did a good job with the Pagani. With his first run, I thought he was going to lose control of that thing! Although it's a beautiful car, it does give me the feeling that the exterior is made out of cellophane. The interior is absolutely gorgeous though. ;D I loved James' Bentley rally stage. I can see where those notations could get rather confusing considering the speed they were going and the lack of time to learn them. But he held up well. Even though I managed to finish the episode only yesterday, I've completely forgotten who was the SIARPC. It doesn't matter though. I remember thinking he looked really familiar. I would have loved to have taken that car around the track in those conditions! That's what I've been driving in most of this winter! ;D Jeremy almost always makes me laugh, and the P45 was no exception. I loved his intermittent screams and the clunking sound coming from his 'car'. I'm still surprised that thing didn't just blow over when that lorrie went past! ;D I'm familiar with Dragon's Den, and I thought the idea of Jeremy taking his invention to them was a good one. But the scene kind of fell flat for me. The only question I wish they would have answered was what Jeremy bought James in the mall!! ;D

Damien Lewis, best known to American audiences as Sgt Brody in Homeland. Also in Band of Brothers. Another British actor faking an American accent for your viewing pleasure

I'm better off with BBC references! ;D I just know I've seen him somewhere. I wish I could place him. Because it's driving me a bit mad.

Have you seen Stormbreaker? He has a Russian accent in that... Nope. That's not it either. Ok, that does it. I'm going to pay a visit to IMDB! Be right back. [Edit] I found it!! He was in Hickory Dickory Dock with David Suchet in 1995! He played Leonard Bateson!! He was a medical student! I knew I'd seen him somewhere!! ;D ;D *does a little dance*

Watched last night and I really enjoyed it. I rated it a 9 because even though I thought Jeremy's P45 bit was funny ;D , I thought his screaming bits went a little to long.

I liked the show overall. It was good to see the guys back and cocking about again. I wasn't really interested in any of the cars, but I wish they'd given James more time at the end of the rally to talk about it, as he looked alternately terrified and overjoyed at being in the car. Laughed at Jeremy and the P45. And thanks, Amie8, for the Band of Brothers reference...now I know who Damien Lewis is. (9)
