Yet another badly scripted and badly delivered 'News' segment. However the rest was quite ok.
BUT - I can see there being trouble following the Ferrari test! Speed? Air? Slides?
Another 7 for me!

I gave it a 9. Much improved. I'm not going to spoil for the rest of my U.S. friends but we remember the guest earlier than you guys in the UK as far as I know. They seemed more in the groove.

Another 7 from me. Saved by the Ferrari segment, which was epic. Classic silliness from Richard and some amazing skill from the stunt rider in James' film, although I'm a bit over free runners, or whatever they are. News was again a wee bit flat for me. Still plenty of smiles though.

It was their classic 'episode where we stick all the short films that won't go anywhere else' - it's usually either episode 2 or 3 - and as they go, there was plenty to enjoy. And I just think they seem more relaxed and up for it this series than in series 19. I'm so happy to have my boys back

Oh - one other thing: The TVC film made me a little bit sad in a way. When I was living in London, I used to go to Television Centre all the time for tapings - all sorts of comedy shows, from obscure late night cable stuff to Ten O'Clock Live, and most recently, Richard Hammond's Secret Service (an utterly brilliant taping, even if the show itself turned out to be a bit 'meh'). To see places I've been looking so sad and abandoned... (the BBC are MAD to close it, even if they will be reopening a couple of the studios in 2015 - almost all the studios were bang up to date in terms of HD etc., the location is brilliantly accessible, and it's a big complex where a lot can - and did - get done. OK, it was dated, and some of the corridors were like stepping into the 1960s, but they would have been better off updating TVC than moving to other studios. Bah.)

I missed the first episode and I've yet to catch up with it. To me, this was typical Top Gear - in the usual very popular format. As I am a child, I loved the taxi race. Total silliness but delivered beautifully by Richard. I'm afraid those races are probably some of my favourite TG moments, my favourite being the camper van race.
It's been ages since I've visited here - I hope everyone is well.

Prompted by government pressure to make savings, the BBC commissioned a report from an independent management consultant to make recommendations. The first recommendation they made was that the BBC should sell TV Centre. I have happy memories of it. I used to work for "the other side", but I spent many hours socialising with my BBC counterparts - they had cheap beer and a roof terrace on which to drink it. It was like a small town - its own bank, shops, restaurants etc. For the normal foot soldiers, the BBC pay was/is crap, but there was a whole sense of community and belonging that didn't exist anywhere else. Mind you, for someone with no sense of direction - like me - TVC was incomprehensible

Hi Crumbs! Good to see you *smoosh*
I remember the 'village feel' of TVC - I always wondered what it was like inside the hairdressers' room, because it looked like a salon from my childhood from the outside! Wonder if the hairstyles dated from then too...?

I gave this one a 9, the beginning was a little slow but it was pure Top Gear.

Well no one mentioned Ron Howard being Opie. Those are my first memories of him on the Andy Griffith Show with Barney. I didn't know if you guys in the UK saw him then.

Just saw it last night. I'm giving it an 8. The empty BBC building could have been put to more entertaining use than those bikes. Even James seemed bored. Jeremy in a Ferrari always makes me happy though. And I love Ron Howard. I always think of him more as Opie (or Richie Cunningham) than an Oscar-winning director.

I am still having a hard time navigating this website. Did anyone see Rush? Chris Hemsworth is one fine looking young man. Beautiful blue eyes. I thought the movie was good and I didn't know how it would end as I didn't look up the main characters. I didn't realize Emo and Mario were F1 before Indy.

I did see Rush on the release weekend - I am a HUGE F1 fan, and James Hunt and Niki Lauda were my earliest heroes - not just in sport but in anything (apart from my dad, obviously - I'm a daddy's girl, and one of my earliest memories is watching F1 with him)! Of course, I knew how the story ended, but that was probably why I was so excited to see it, because it catapulted me back then. I saw it with my Polish friend, who didn't know how the story ended, and she was on the edge of her seat. Afterwards, she said that she kept forgetting to breathe during the last race. You know the bit where Hunt wanders into the hospital? I've got vague memories of visiting my mum in hospital around that time, and it looked pretty much like my memories And yes, Chris Hemsworth is very pretty. I think I like him better as James Hunt than as Thor, if anything! And I'm now looking for an appropriate home for my 'SEX - BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS' badge...

Enjoyed the Ferrari F12 test, would be delighted to have one lol... the taxi race was rubbish though.
