I haven't seen many episodes this series, due to holidays, but this is the best I have seen this series! There wasn't a single weak feature. Every one of them worked very well.
How much influence does it take to close The Mall for an entertainment show? What an impressive end to the shown and series.
Very near perfection for me. If there were half marks it would be 9.5, but, whole numbers mean a 9.
I will vote on the other episodes when I manage to watch them.

I thought it was outstanding. It made me feel patriotic and I'm not from the UK. Was Mark Webber talking about Kimi? I can't remember who mentioned the passing incident in Indonesia. The new Range Rover, the F type Jag and that huge bus. This may sound stupid, but I got the feeling each of them felt joy in their respective tests today. The news was also great. Jezza and his BMI remarks. Just great.

That was the standout episode of the series for me. They threw absolutely everything into making it a celebration of all that we still do in this country - a kind of flipside to the 'British Roadsters' film of a few series ago. I felt quite choked up by the time Nimrod started playing (it's a piece of music pretty much guaranteed to get me going). Several laugh out loud moments, lots of happy memories stirred up (the ofroading course I drove earlier this year wasn't far off the one Hammond drove, though on a slightly smaller scale - and it made me want to do it again) and one of my favourite F1 drivers in the Liana - and yes, I punched the air when Jeremy announced his time All in all, one that will go down in the 'classic Top Gear' list for me. Come back soon boys!

How much influence does it take to close The Mall for an entertainment show? What an impressive end to the shown and series. They did film very, very early on a Sunday morning (I was back in that neck of the woods that weekend, and I was kicking myself because Jeremy tweeted that people should come and see what they'd been doing and I slept a bit late and didn't really have enough time), and The Mall is quite often closed for all sorts of events - last year's Sport Relief run was held there, for example - but even so, to pull that off must have taken a bit of persuading. And of course, they had to close the roads in Milton Keynes too, so the F1 cars could play on them (not the first time F1 cars have taken to the streets of Milton Keynes, but the first time it's been done for a poky motoring show on BBC2 )

The whole episode was fantastic, but the bit that really stirred me was The Mall finale, all those amazing vehicles, a true tribute to British craftsmanship. The music fitted beautifully, the very peaceful Nimrod, and the stirring Pomp and Circumstance march in G. It was a wonderful way to end the series.

I thought it was the best of series! All 3 "car" reviews were great, in particular the bus and James - but then i'm biased :-) The end was a spectacular idea, bravo Jezza and the team - it will go down in history as a monumental piece of telly Choice scheduling by the beeb to put Das Auto on after (NOT) I know Jezza thought so too!!!!

Yes, extremely good. But as I'm a mean old cow I gave it 9. That's because there's a couple of specials that I reserved 10 for! It was good to see we still produce some marvellous vehicles - I just wish the majority were still owned by us but I'm just carping really. Mark Webber was splendid - I'm so sad he hasn't been a world champion. He lives not a million miles from us and gets involved in local life. He's very popular because he's known to be unpretentious and happy to chat to fans. He beat Mr Vettel too - a little victory for him and really really good for those of us who appreciate the gentlemen in sport as opposed to the brilliant but over ambitious and uncompromising (I could say more!).
Ah I will miss them. They still make me laugh - sometimes to tears. My highlight was the caravan race - I cried at that, oh yes, and the taxi race. My favourite car of the series was the new Jaguar. Probably because it is a Jaguar and I've always wanted one but they would have to soften the suspension!
On a side note and completely in the wrong thread - I do like James new Honda. And I like the stubble too.

Definite 10 from me, and I don't please easily! I thought it was a very well-balanced show, and the last segment was brilliant - yes, it did bring a tear to my patriotic eye! Well done guys, and I hope series 21 comes around soon (Oh, and a Top Gear Live would be nice.....)

While I appreciate the tribute to Britain's automotive history, this episode didn't really do much for me. James is lovely to look at (and listen to) but the bus segment was boring, the Range Rover thing was boring, and Mark Webber is boring (since this was a British-focused episode they should have had Lewis Hamilton or Jenson Button anyway). Liked Jeremy and the F-type. The news with Mr. Pickles was silly but still made me laugh. I'll watch it again to see if my opinion improves, and to soak in more Jamesness, but for now I'm giving it an eight.

A 9 from me. Loved the Mall thing....was quite moved and I'm not even British. James seemed to enjoy his time on the bus and I loved the Jag. I'm a Webber fan (naturally!) so I enjoyed his move up the F1 leader board. He does seem like a good bloke. Will now impatiently await the next series.

Coming late to the party, as I always do nowadays, I think The Mall is closed to traffic every Sunday. You still have to ask nicely to cover it with vehicles, though
