To find out, he goes on the ultimate thrill ride in New Zealand, gets thrown to the lions, and visits the drag boat racers with a one in ten chance of being killed each year.

Even his mother is roped in, screaming, "quite the worst moment of my life", as he persuades her to hurtle round Blackpool's rollercoaster with him. Finally, he puts himself to the ultimate test: bobsleighing down a mountain.

As he meets more and more extreme thrill seekers, Clarkson discovers it may be the speed freaks who have made the world we know today

Not only that, but 20th century speed machines are becoming toys, and to prove it he takes the controls of a fighter plane in a dogfight with a German. He reveals his number one speed machine of all time, the Vauxhall Vectra, and annoys his wife by putting a supersonic jet fighter in his garden as his tribute to the century of speed.

Hey I know it's an old thread and everything but those links aren't working anymore... can't even get the vhs tapes on amazon anymore ... nor do I have a cassette player ... nor would I know how to use one. Anyways would you please be so kind as to freshen those links up maybe ?
