Oh, my favourite Doctor too! I met him once - don't get excited, just in a signing queue. This would be around 1975. I said hello and how much I liked his work, but he was far more interested in my friend, who was lovely, blonde and had legs up to her armpits. He asked her out for a drink after the signing, though she would never tell me whether she went or not. I believe he was a bit of a lad in those days.
However, he was the Doctor I most enjoyed, for that manic, eccentric personality. I think the only other one with those particular mercurial qualities was Matt Smith, though I've liked all the doctors in their many guises.
