Racing car driver and James Bond stuntman Neil Cunningham has died at the age of 5216:39, 25 MAY 2016 UPDATED 16:39, 25 MAY 2016 BY MARK SMITH The dad-of-two from Mumbles had been battling motor neurone disease since 2010 Racing and stunt driver Neil Cunningham at home in Mumbles with his son Ted A world-renowned racing car driver who doubled for James Bond has died at the age of 52. Neil Cunningham, who lived in Mumbles and raced motorcars in Le Mans, Silverstone, and numerous British GT Championships, had been battling with motor neurone disease (MND) for the past six years. The dad-of-two also performed stunts in the BBC show Top Gear and was rumoured to be The Stig. 'A hero on and off the track' Arguably his biggest claim to fame was working as Daniel Craig’s double in the 2008 James Bond blockbuster Quantum of Solace.
