looking around amazon I found this www.amazon.co.uk/Big-Book-Top-Gear/dp/1846074630/ref=sr_1_28?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1203253002&sr=8-28"Top Gear is a phenomenon. The three presenters' collective and infectious enthusiasm for all things automotive, and the on-screen dynamic between ultra-competitive Clarkson, painstakingly pedantic May, and Hammond caught between the two, is television gold and has turned a niche-interest BBC2 programme into family entertainment with viewing figures regularly exceeding 6m. And now The Big Book of Top Gear, the first ever Top Gear annual, combines in one irresistible package all the elements of show that make it so popular: an unashamed petrol-head need for speed; a bit of Boy's Own adventure; special features based around each presenter such as Jeremy's Page of Power and James May's 'Ooh, That's Nice' rundown of some of his favourite comfy, wood and leathery cars, plus essential automotive stats and details for the hardcore motoring nuts and much much more. Equally delightful for teenagers and their great-grandparents, The Big Book of Top Gear will be the must-have Christmas present for 2008. " at least it's not out 'till October so that'll give us saving up time

That has got to be 'must have' reading! I'm just surprised in a way they haven't done it sooner

Ohh do you think we are going to have 3 presents doing personal appearances? 3 in one, would be good? Or as the Meatloaf song says, 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

Right, I've put the book on pre-order, despite the long wait. Thanks for the tip-off!! The DVD should be with us by the middle of next week, and that's going to be excellent. I do wish the editing on the "Challenges" one had been different, but there you go.
So much to view and read, too few hours in the day!!

Bought it yesterday and sat and read it from start to finish last night, some parts made me laugh out loud so loudly the other half thought I was having a fit.
Very entertaining, sweet in parts and the comic adventures of Bigglesmay is beautifully done to look like an old Commando comic book, very clever.

I got my copy today. It's very, very funny. I've only flicked through it so far but already love the "Get the Look" section. 'James May. Get the gentleman tramp look for less than you might think' - luxuriant hairstyle: take a picture of a spaniel into the barber. Steal your grandfathers jacket from his wardrobe and never return it' You get the drift ;D

The Jezzer bit is even more funny - "Simply sellotape some pubes to your head" "The man baby - stuff a cushion up your shirt. Or just do no exercise at all for 48 years or so" Well worth the investment ;D ;D
