Sure

Go into your 'profile' click on Modify Profile which is next to the Member's Bio - Modify Profile - Bookmarks section and scroll down until you find your signature section. You need a host, and www.tinypic.com is a great one. Upload your sig there, and copy and paste the [*img] URL HERE [*/img] tags.

I'm really sorry, but I've tried that, and as you may be able to see, I just get the URL address in the signature field! I'm such a numpty at these things!!

You almost had it Liz, you just needed to add [*IMG] at the front of the link and [*/IMG] at the end, but with no stars. Have a fiddle around with it ... when I started putting pics in etc last year it took me ages to suss out ;D but you did very well! ;D

Hello everybody,

I know that this sounds pretty stupid to most of you but, I have only just joined TJMB and i was wondering, is there any other way to get the URL for avatars other than using photobucket? I have found one that i like on the Maytrix but i don't know what to do from there on. Can anybody help? I hope so!

I am just completely failing at this avatar business. I've linked to Photobucket, set the height and width 100x100 but when I click to save te modifications it just goes back to blank again. I'm totally stumped.

Oh my god this is so frustrating, I've done everything suggested and it just won't have it. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the avatar drop down menu saying none has something to do with it but if you change it, it just gives one of the little graphic smiley's and things and then when you paste in the URL it keeps the graphic... I'm so irritated with myself and with it - not with you guys though, you're cool.

I have the drop-down menu set to "none" on mine. It seems to work ok...

Just a thought, though - you haven't used any kind of tags with the URL have you, either BB code style [/li][li] or HTML <*>, have you? I had trouble with my sig because I was using the wrong tags, but in the case of the avatar, it doesn't need any at all, just the address.

No I hadn't but I'd used the wrong photobucket URL, the one for e-mail and apparantly it's different but now it's sorted and I have shiny, new icon, hurrah!

When I'm on the banner maker site I get the box and put a pic on as a background - when I try to put more on it starts again with a new box. How do I get them all in the same box please?

Well the banner thing I'm clueless......but you can string along by not leaving a gap between web addresses so it like a big long thing.....now if anyone can enlighten us that would be good
