On Top Gear, that is. Ive never been a car fan until now but when i was learning to drive many years ago my dream car was a Nissan Micra. Not any more. I dont really have a dream car & if i had to choose one it would be a sensible hatchback like a Golf or Ford or Fiat Panda. But getting back to the topic in hand i can think of the Lotus Exige, Dodge Viper & of course the Aston Martin DB9. Im sure i'll think of a few more!

The car I am planning on having one day has appeared on Top Gear, but only after James did unspeakable things to it and turned it into a boat. I really, really want a Triumph Herald, though I also wouldn't kick a TR6 out of the garage (even though James praised its manliness...). Money no object, though, I'd love a Lambo - either, if I was being more typically me, a Miura, or if I was feeling a bit more flash and modern, a Gallardo. But Cheese, looking at your "sensible" cars, there's one there you could have loads of fun with; if you have a VW Golf, go for the current GTi My "sensible car" of choice is the Ford Mondeo. It's a bit of a repmobile, but I like them. Annoyingly, my friend just sold his - under slightly different circumstances I'd have bought it but I'm not going to own another car until I pass my test!

Fiat 500....now if I was not saddled with three kids and a dog and all their mates that's the one ......dream car, a classic I think, not so keen on sports cars well new ones that is, an oldie for me, I shall have some deep thoughts about this ;D and lots of old tg watching which is a shame and hard work ;D

Fiat 500 too, certainly on my list of potential new cars if I didn't have the perfectly lovely car I have now. Favourite on Top Gear - I do love the Veyron. I think when Jezza drove it in the challenge and when James took it to the max were perfect pieces.

Ooh yes & the Veyron. Golf gti would be one of my first choices for sensible car. Speaking of VW my mum loved her Passat (company car, over 10 yrs ago) & i know one of the men in the village (loves TG & classic/vintage cars) is fancying one. I think the FIAT 500 is proving to be a hit more so for the laydees? Is it cos of it's cootchy cootchy coo (as James put it, i think) looks? Oh yes & the Monaro.

I actually have to admit, I would quite like to have the Toyota Hi-Lux they used in the Polar challenge (without all of the guns etc) I loved that ;D

I am OBSESSED with the Veyron. Its just a beautiful beautiful machine. Obv will never be able to afford it... But I agree with comments made above that every feature they have done on it has been perfect. Red leather... thats all I'm saying But I currently drive a lovely Ford KA. (Fans will recall James+Sport KA+ Cheeky little pidgeon who beat him) Its flawless; I absolutely adore driving it. Nippy, cute, quite a tardis, cheap to run/service. One thing though is the PAS fluid which I have to constantly top up... it has a tendancy to leak out of the valves. Cutest thing though is the tapits; its quite loud in an adorable way! Wouldnt really wanna sell it, but I would upgrade to a streetka so I could take the roof down!!! hee hee!

I like the Ka too. If it wasn't for the little fiesta I have who has the soul of Ferrari I would possibly have one of those. (Don't tell her though. )

This is a hard one. I tend to go for practical in a car, so I already have the ultimate in practicallity - Mondeo estate (diesel). Goes on for ever, low road tax, low fuel consuption, breaks the speed limit with ease (not that I've tried that at all, of course...) comfortable to drive and the back has Tardis-like properties (but only in terms of the inside being bigger than the outside, not, sadly, the time travel bit, which would be really useful!). Sometimes I want something smaller & nippier, but as soon as I got one I'd want to shove a sofa in the back or something & want the Mondeo back again! I suspect that if I had to have a "sports car" I'd consider a Hyundai Coupe. My Ex is on his 2nd (the first was one of the first batch in the coutry) and I was really surprised how comfortable and practical they are (so long as you're not over 5'2' & sitting in the back). They can be driven slowly as well, which is a bit essential living in a town! But if you ask me the same question tomorrow, I may well have changed my mind... However, if I had to choose a favourite car to look at... Hmmmm. Too many to mention! I do prefer curvy things to wedge shapes though. DB9s are OK apart from the grill. Makes them look like sucker fish! XKR & XJS & most Ferraris are nice. The best of the lot though? OLIVEEEEER!

I can't remember the car, but richard drove it through a tunnel and the sound it made was ...........can't describe it sorry, he grinned at the camera and said he wanted to do that again. I look at cars and think yes I like that, but it's the sound that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up that really get's me. I'm going to have to find the clip now.
I do hope they do a piece on the new 8c convertible in the new series, because that is a beautiful car.

Ooh yeah, the Dodge Viper is a heart-stopper - I still see one from time to time.
My two dream cars have been the same for years: a classic Ford Mustang (1965 or 66) and any sort of Jaguar - especially the XJS.
I used to love the Mazda Miata, until my brother got one & I actually drove it. It's the most uncomfortable damned little car - I don't care how cute or sexy it is anymore. I'm not a particularly tall person but I had to fold myself in two to get behind the wheel.

My friend's O/H has got an MX-5 (the Miata this side of the pond) and I love it. Mind you, I'm only 5'2", so's my mate and her O/H isn't much taller... he may actually be smaller than Hammond, thinking about it!
I'm a bit in love with this year's Corvette at the moment, but completely and utterly smitten with the Bristol Fighter.

Nice choices, isabel It would be the Gallardo for me I think, but it does present me with a challenge because while certain variants have more in the way of bells and whistles, and an allegedly more comfortable ride, aesthetically the Superleggera really does it for me!

I like those cars for the names alone! Superleggera is just a hot hot name... and I love hearing Jez say it!!!

I am sad. I parked in the hospital carpark this morning next to an E reg VW, which had backed into the Space that I had driven into and I KNEW that it was a Scirocco! Sad.
Dream car a Fiat 500 in practical terms or a Bugatti 'Veyroo' in my nine year old terms!
She knows a good car!

I love and adore cars, and vehicles in general (except bikes, loathe those). I got that from my Grandad.
I love and adore the Toyota Aygo. I thought it just looked like another small hot-hatch at first, but then I read an article about it in TG mag, and I was so so impressed at the design that went into it, it was so cleverly thought out and built that it immediately became one of my faves. That is what I love about cars, how they are made, what the engines are like, all the 'nerdy' bits. Being in them isn't really a big deal for me, I don't travel well.
Anything by Bentley is instantly beautiful in my eyes, Rolls-Royces, the Bugatti Veyron is a stunner of engineering and technology and anything that captures my imagination.
Not too keen on Porsches though, they are stunted looking and very common. I have seen several, and I mean loads, of them in the area where I live.

Daisy, my dream garage includes several old Triumphs, a couple of old Hillmans and for reasons best known to psychiatric science, an Austin Allegro. I'm not just about the Lambo
