From: bjay650 (Original Message) Sent: 24/04/2008 13:13 After two series of sipping at the font of Oz Clarke's wine wisdom, James May can tell his Riesling from his Rioja, identify a Californian Chardonnay at 20 paces and describe the plummy nose of a Shiraz without gritting his teeth.
This time, however, the duo are embarking on a tour of the UK on a quest to find the perfect home-grown tipple, from bitter to lager, cider and whisky.
Oz And James's Big British Adventure (working title) is the third series of the wine show featuring the nation's favourite odd couple Oz Clarke and James May.
James may he think he knows more about beer than Oz but he soon discovers Oz's drinks expertise isn't just confined to wine. Expect plenty of bickering, banter and drinking as Oz and James go on their third road trip together.
Just found this on HH, hope its true...................................

There's a good microbrewery near me and I have a spare room, though they would have to share a double bed...

There's a micro brewery not far from my mum's place, Ffos y Ffin & they do damn fine ales. I should know, ive tried them all (except for one). Apart from that there's the Rhymney brewery in the South Wales Heads of the Valleys, Cwmbran Brewery with its Crow Valley bitter amongst others, Hurns Brewing Company (most noted for Tomos Watkins ales & beers) etc etc ;D

That "one" wouldn't be the winter ale we were talking about the other day, would it?!

I wonder. Since this series (8 x 30 minutes episodes by the way) is going to focus on all things British. And since James is always bangin on how the English countryside is best looked at from his little airplane..... It would be a very convenient way of transport for them to get to all corners of the country. Hey, a girl can dream.

Could be Linden could be right, but whether the plane will be the main mode of transport through the series ive no idea. Still it would be nice to see him up there, sat in his cockpit, his hands at the controls, getting a warm tingle.....

I completely adore WA, both series, and I know some things I'm probably not supposed to laugh at, but James and Oz just crack me up. Even when they're not doing anything funny ;D

I agree aaurora, wonder when they start filming and where they'll go, I could think of a good few places not far away from the parents in the north Essex area, actually Essex seem to have a few good micro breweries

Had to laugh today... bought a bottle of Zinfandel from a well known supermarket today... at the checkout, my hubby announced that I hadn't bought a proper one, because it wasn't red, so (to the amazement of all in the queue, and the checkout girl) I launched into a speech about how Zinfandel grapes only produced red wine, if the skins were left on to ferment with the juice... that shut him up!!... if he'd had a whistle, he'd have blown it!! ;D

Well if James couldn't do the boat race because of this, wonder what sort of filming schedule there is

Is it the filming, or the recovering-from-filming that's going to take the time, though?

No he said so in response to question posed by DD at Hay. Apparently he had expressed an interest and then it clashed with the new WA, so he could no longer do it.

One of us has met James recently and spoken with his royal Mayness?! I hope she's written about it here, and gone into great detail about every aspect of the meeting.
