I get the feeling that Colin is quite a decent chap, and a good laugh. He certainly loves his motorbikes, and his weekly column in Autocar is always worth a scan - he can be quite witty and amusing!!

I'd rather go to Box Hill with him! Is the Ryka Burger place still there? They did amazing burgers. It's made me all nostalgic for a bike again. Don't think I could reach the ground on either of those two though, certainly not the Yam!
Maybe when I win the lottery I'll get a Ducatti Monster...

Much as I love opera, this sounds more like my kind of thing too (also, it's hard to wear anything opera-appropriate on the back of a motorbike). I'm getting the bike cravings again too. I was talking to a nice chap yesterday while sitting on a rock and staring out into the briny deep and he came up with a suggestion that has been floating around at the back of my mind for some time; to hire a bike and take a short training course, get myself back on the road. He agreed with my dad's theory that I'm unlikely to have another accident quite as serious as the last one too ;D

It's certainly tempting, DD, I'm seriously considering packing my leathers just in case! Fed up with public transport. Not that I'd be using a bike to do long-distance stuff, to me they're about freedom and fun and all that malarkey (remember the other day I told you how I scragged the gearbox on the old Honda?! Wouldn't have done that if I hadn't been having a laugh at the time!). That is what the car is (will be) for

I'd actually thought of bringing my lid along... just in case. But I'll be on the train & don't know if I can be arsed to lug it around that much!
