 Here he is over in Northern Ireland on Sunday attending a party for the children of servicemen and women. Thanks to HH for the lovely pic as usual. I love him in his glasses. |

Oh and the good news is that Headley Court, which is supported by the Help for Heroes charity, has just finally been given a huge amount of money by the government for improvements. About time too.  |

It sounds like it is going to be a really unusual, and very moving, tribute. I'm so glad this is happening, it's good to remember the human side of all the things our forces are involved in at the moment.

It's on BBC2...8.00 tonight, a march pass of all the armed services, to raise a million pounds for hedingley court (sp) and another armed service convalescent home/hopsital.... ...it lasts for a hour |

 Awaits knock on the door for taking illegal pictures of Military Aircraft. I was so excited, I still am. I love Chinooks. I was hoping they would come back this way but they must have gone on. That was very moving - and Jeremy did very well. He was quite nervous I think. I wish I'd gone now.  I was in tears after 8 minutes and cried on and off throughout the whole thing. Jezzer was brilliant and Ross Kemp has gone up in my estimations too. I'm glad I didn't go. Would have felt a bit daft blubbing in public PS I'm with you on the Chinooks ly. We get them overhead all the time up here and you know it's one of them immediately by the noise. I think they're fab |

I thought Jeremy looked a little nervous at the beginning, bless him, but he hit his stride. It's obvious that it meant a lot to him. And I'm another one in the "Ross Kemp has gone up in my estimation" camp.
I'm also glad I wasn't there in a way, they would have had to deploy the flood defences.

You're so lucky. I wish I got more stuff like this over here. I used to get Concorde coming over my house every night - I still miss the sound. We get all sorts of things flying over here. Straight across Morecambe Bay especially if the weather is good. Even get them late at night (more usually something heavy like a Hercules). We also get a Lancaster Bomber and a Spitfire and a Hurricane during the summer as they go to various displays. The sound of them is fantastic. The minute I hear the 'drone' I'm out of the door in a flash. They are so beautiful to look at. |

No, I'm actually up north in Carnforth, near Lancaster but I think we must be on the flight path from North to South or something because we seem to get them flying over every summer and occasionally during Winter too. |
