A while ago, I bought a metal wall plaque with the words "Keep calm and put the kettle on" with the Union Jack behind it. Meant to go in my new kitchen (which isn't built yet) so in the meantime, I decided to put it somewhere safe. In other words, I can't find it. Will post a piccie when I do.

Been browsing the tees for months now, wish I had money to order one, but not yet.. These are my favourites:
"Keep calm and carry wands" "Lie back and think of England" "Keep calm and call mom" "Shut up and go away" "Shut up and sit down" "Don't panic and carry a towel"
Hard choice...

I've found a website where you can create a design and see how it would look on a T-shirt, so I created this one, based on something someone wrote in the NC You can go ahead and buy the thing you create, though I reckon it's just fun to see what your designs would look like! www.customink.com/

The daughter's out shopping at the mall and just texted me this image with the following text, "Look at the plasters I bought." I assume this is a box of band-aids? Guess I'll see when she gets home.

Where are those in the states? Did someone once mention Barnes & Noble? Yes, Mission Viejo, Ca. Our Keep Calm and Carry On stuff here(here being Madison WI) is sold at this tiny little store downtown called Anthology. Keep Calm and Paint On, Keep Calm and Drink a Margarita, Keep Calm and Recall Walker(I like that one just a smidge more than the paint on one, but the paint on one arguably suits me better ) are just a few of the variations. They use fairly nice paper and material for the cards, so they're too pricey for me to want to buy, but I like stopping in and browsing. Cameras aren't allowed in the store, so no pictures. I haven't checked Barnes and Noble lately, both locations are a bit far from my place, but I'll look around next time...which should be next weekend actually. I need a haircut badly and my stylist is right by one of the stores.

That's really cute. For us at the moment, it's more like "Keep Cool and/or Warm and Carry an Umbrella"...

I'm really quite cross, and I think with good reason.
Dave, as we know, is a marvellous channel and friend to Top Gear and James, but it has to be said that the adverts tend to be repetitive, with a lot of loan firms etc. I've got TG on while I'm here on the JMB and I've just seen a new advert.
Loan firm, Payday UK. The advert?
A man in a WWll-type RAF uniform, extolling the virtues of the loan firm, showing a notice, 'KEEP CALM AND LOG ON'. Voiceover - "Don't say Mayday, say Payday".
And it's one of those dreadful firms that charges 1737% interest and preys on those who can least afford it.
Am I being too picky to think that they may have 'borrowed' a couple of ideas there?
