The 500 is all that is being offered here at the Fiat salons. We looked into bringing in a Panda for the girl to drive, just for giggles. We can't do it. It doesn't met safety standards and would have to have the exhaust system refitted. Not worth the trouble to get it legal.

I was in the city the other day and was stuck in traffic next to what I believe was a Ferrari 458 Italia in baby blue. (I didn't look too closely as I didn't want to be spotted by the mid-life-crisis sitting at the wheel.) No opportunity to witness its POWERRRR though, unfortunately. Oooohhhh, I would have been begging for a ride. I am shameless. I want my Italia in yellow, though.

Someone please help me stop the heated debate in my house as to the exact identity of this car. The girl, hubby and I are locking horns over the trivial and it's becoming tiresome. Yes we know it's a Jaguar. And we can see that it's a convertible. Duh! And that it has X-- in chrome letters on one side of the trunk. But on the left side it had an additional two letters or numbers in chrome. A8, 48, 42, A2 something or other. It's also had dealer plates. So it could be anything. So, the hubby insists it's a XK8, I insist it's XKR, the girl's position was, "So what, another stupid Jaguar. They're everywhere." It's definitely not the nasty XJL. The girl's right, those ARE everywhere. Blech! Whatever it is, I have a headache.

Why is it in reviews they mostly show the front and the side and not the back. I looked at some Car & Driver reviews, front only. Doesn't look like any of the pictures I saw. Since it had dealer plates it could be from a couple years back.

Ok, I didn't 'see' this, but I did 'see' it on the interwebs. Golden Retriever gets chauffeured around in Bugatti Veyron! jalopnik.com/5882099/

More than likely, the car is running and the ac is on full blast. If you can afford a Veyron, you can afford the gas to leave it running!

The black one is a SsangYong Korando, as it already says on the car itself It is not a car you see every day, but also not that uncommon I think. The owner is terrible at parking though I have seen many SsangYong cars with horse owners, maybe that is why I am more familiar with them? BTW - I am still trying to make a picture of the Reliant Robin I see every week when I go shopping ;D

Dit, FI5th, I didnt know, but sounds logical! I'd like to comment in this one: You can see the logo on the side of the car: www.reclame-auto.nlIf you look that up on the internet, you can see (if you are able to read and understand Dutch, that is) that this car is indeed a fake one. It is a replica, especially made for the purpose of advertising. Towing a trailer is its job, so that people think: "WTF?" Don't ask me why, but that is the whole idea: an "expensive" sports car with a trailer behind it, advertising for *your* company. Great. *duhhhh*

Not a first hand sighting, but a friend of mine knows someone who works at a big hotel in Liverpool. When my friend was there his friend took him down into the car park to 'show him something interesting'. It was a chromed Buggati Veyron. When I was told this tale I groaned as I saw a chromed SLR a year or so back, and it was the trashiest thing I've seen in a long time. I googled the Veyron and it looks like this in the publicity photos which is pretty tasteful, but apparently in real life it looks more like this sort of thing and this, apparently, is how they do it. It is called car-wrapping and it is very popular at the moment. OH does this for a living (amongst other things you can think of with the sticky stuff) and the company he works at, has had many request for car wrapping lately. Personally, I would never ever do that to such an expensive car as the Veyron. Sure, it might look good now, but if I had so much money to spend on a car, I would make sure to get in in the colour I wanted it in the first place, and not spend 1500 pound on a car-wrap.

wow, you know a lot about cars, Mayb!! Also, well seen on the fake Ferrari!! I think you're right. Lol, yea, that Korando is not good at parking at all. I have never ever seen them before in my country, maybe they're less common here than where you are from. How come you were able to understand Dutch? Car wrapping!! We, us Dutchies, are the best in making the stuff before any other country puts it on the cars. (A) Biggest factory is here I believe.

I'll let you in on a secret... I am Dutch I now live in Germany though, but I am hoping to return back safe home to that little country soon (hopefully somewhere this year). As I said, the Ssangyong is quite popular with horse owners (the posh ones) as they are very suitable for trailers and off-road work. I have seen them a lot, but it would not be my choice. The Bugatti wrapping is not allowed in the Netherlands btw - OH looked at the picture and told me. The reflection of the foil could cause accidents. And I think it is a good thing - image a bright and sunny day and you come face to face with a car like that.... quite dangerous that is.

I've just seen a new, black and shiny Nissan GTR - even had a numberplate that finished with 'GTR'. It looked luffly.
It was parked up, though, outside a Kentucky Chicken, and a youth was in the driving seat (is it possible to tell a professional footballer at a glance, I wonder?) which I have to say did take the edge off the experience just a little.

OH had to car-wrap an electric (*spits*) Vauxhall something (I forgot as I really could not be bothered to remember) the other day. I offered him to stick the "Jeremy Clarkson can lick my battery" - bumper sticker as a gift to the customer on it, but he politely declined. (But thought it was good fun himself) Some people just don't have a good sense of humour I guess ;D

I did a double-take yesterday when I saw a Fiat 500 on the road. I think they're very cute but didn't think they were sold here. Wrong!! They're a bit on the pricey side and there aren't many for sale, but when I need to can upgrade my current car, I'll certainly take a look at what's on offer!

Hubby just walked in from the beach. 2 458s, a black Gallardo, a Shinka RX8 and a Fisker in the space of 6 miles. Just another sunny day in the OC.

Reliant Scimitar. Parked outside my Health Club on Thursday morning. Princess Anne has one, you know (and probably in that colour; it was very popular at the time).

Whenever I've seen one of those (Sanderos) on my travels, I've shouted the same thing, usually preceeded by "GOOD NEWS!". We're hopeless!
