Hello Kitty is a cute character, but not on a car! Ye gods!

No one old enough to drive should like Hello Kitty that much!

There are some custom pink cars that look OK, but not many. I've just been watching 2 Fast 2 Furious and I'd love the modified pink S2000. But even more than that, I'd like the extremely heavily modified Suzuki Swift from last year's Top Gear Live (from the sequence inspired by The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift). Part of why I liked it was the amazing artwork and part of it was that I, er, got quite drunk with the tech crew and I found out what they did to it to make it do what it able to do the stunts. Put it this way - it might have looked like a Swift, but underneath it was a Mitsubishi Evo IX ;D

The Hello Kitty mobile might have been cute, or at least a bit funny, with the pink paint and the vanity plates, but the decals push it over the line into 'eeeewwww' territory

Oh, the MLP Beetle is nicely done though. A bit more subtle than the Hello Kitty one! This is my most favourite pink car ever. Sorry it's not a great photo, but the light wasn't very good. I do love the Suzuki Swift though. I realise it's not to everyone's taste, but look what she can do! (Yep, that's the little pink Swift on the podium spinning in circles. Yes, I do know exactly how they made her do that. No, I'm not telling )

The Suzuki didn't "perform" when I was at the NEC show. I'd been told it was amazing, but apparently it was broken. Shame.

The My Little Pony VW is kinda cute I don't think I'd drive it though. I came across some more 'beauties' *cough* this morning so I though I'd share! Guess the theme?!

OMG I LOVE THAT CAR I should have that car! I am known in my close circle of friends as Barbie (and MOH is refered to as "Ken" much to his dislike) due to my blond hair, and obsession with pink and purple clothes, accessories and stuff etc. (Even my hairdresser says I am like Barbie when she does my hair ) *hangs head in shame*

Oh dear. Lamborghinis have a tendency to do that. So do some Ferraris, and the testbed version of the R8 V10 did something similar too. The problem (well, one of many, if we're honest) with supercars is that for all their grunt and fury, they're actually quite delicately balanced and at times fragile machines (unless they're Bristols, but I'll save that story for another day). If you stick someone behind the wheel who isn't aware that they need careful handling, especially if they start showing off a bit (which let's face it, a lot of the footballer/banker/word that rhymes with banker types do), there is a very, very good chance that something will go catastrophically wrong. In the case of the car above, even without reading the accompanying article I can pretty much guarantee that the driver was doing something silly (looking at the area, I bet he was driving at relatively low speed, or at least in a low gear but giving it a lot of revs because, well, with that noise you would) and something overheated and up went the engine (the seat of the fire being where the engine is was). Even a well driven Lambo can cost several thousand pounds a year to maintain if it's used frequently, and that's without it even slightly catching fire.
You might wonder why anyone would want a car that temperamental, but cars are a lot like horses really. At one end you've got your reliable family hatchback, which is like a cobby little pony that might not be a looker but gets you around. Bigger cars are more like typical riding horses - bigger than the ponies, but fulfilling much the same function. The big 4x4 that can pull a huge trailer around all day without giving out is like a shire horse. And supercars are like racing thoroughbreds - beautiful to look at, fast and powerful, but in need of constant care... and if you treat them badly, they will kick you. Very hard.
Unlike most cars though, all horses are good off-road.
My car is slow, a bit lame, stubborn but it really wants to keep going, even when the bottom of its engine has disintegrated or something vital has fallen off. This means that Gerald is a donkey, and that's fine with me - I like donkeys.
I've seen worse - at least you can still tell what that one was!

The Batmobile equivalent of the short bus, it seems
/don't know if that's made its way into British idiom -- in America the bus for disabled students tends to be a special smaller bus with a lift. Hence to ride the "short bus" is to be mentally or physically behind -- usually mentally

Argh! That's cruelty. I don't know why but it reminds me of the mouthguard I wear when I play Hockey. Which was like this..... Maybe it's because they are both that 'lovely' peach colour and they both look kind of rubbery!
