Thanks to Final Gear, via HH, I've gleaned that apparently the boys are off to Belgium tomorrow to test the R8 TDI at Zolder. It's all a bit vague and nobody seems certain whether it's the potential production version or the potential Le Mans version. Either way, it should be fun

I think it's just a racingdriver Nope, that guy in the white suit with the long blonde hair has on a different suit to the Stig. The Stig as we know him has black markings on his suit. Check out this photo, shows the blonde white suited driver and the Stig in the same pic. At a guess, maybe the blonde guy is the Stig's German cousin. cars.snoobonline.com/100_1339.JPGEdit: the blondie is Tim Schrick, he presents D Motor in Germany.

Well done aaurora. It would be a big slip up if they allowed someone a piccy of The Stig strolling down a race track with no helmet.

Well done aaurora. It would be a big slip up if they allowed someone a piccy of The Stig strolling down a race track with no helmet. That's for sure! I think by now the Stig knows that there are people lurking in bushes with long range lenses ala Piers Morgan and to remove his helmet would be quite dramatic indeed! In this shot, though, he is without his trademark gloves and we can clearly see he is wearing a wedding ring. Which fits in nicely to the rumours that circulated a couple of months ago that the Stig got married this year.

The guy in the white racing suit is Tim Schrik, a German test driver who often does reviews for German television. The challenge they filmed at Zolder is some sort of match between the UK and Germany, Sabine was there as well.

Now where would you end an alfa challenge??, here perhaps; Auto Italia Concours Stanford Hall Sunday June 1st Widely known as the premier UK concours for top-quality Italian automobiles, this spectacular event will again be held in the grounds of Stanford Hall. As well as the Auto Italia Concours for rare and interesting Italian exotica, the Maserati Club and the Alfa Romeo Owner’s Club will hold their annual Concours, while the Ferrari Owners’ Club will be out in force. Typically, visitors can expect to see upwards of 100 Maseratis and 180 Ferraris gathered on the lawns of this the gracious Leicestershire stately home. But it’s not just Ferrari and Maserati: Italian car club displays will featuring the very best of Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Fiat, and special coachbuilt models. Visitors arriving in an Italian car will be invited to join the general display area. There will also be an Italian trade village and a concession on entrance to the elegant stately home. I know James is at the book thing in Hay at 7.00pm, but me being the sad act that I am checked out the route, it's doable and he could drop Richard off on the way home ;D. maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=Stanford%20Hall%20&um=1&sa=N&tab=wl
