"The second episode in the new series of 'Top Gear' attracted 4.7m viewers for BBC Two and a 17.9% share of the audience between 8pm and 9pm. The show featured Richard Hammond racing an Audi RS6 estate in the French Alps against two French skiers, who narrowly beat him. 'Top Gear' beat the second part of ITV drama 'The Royal' which attracted 4.3m viewers and a 16.6% share of the 8pm slot.
ITV1's detective series 'Taggart' attracted 3.7m viewers and a 15.2% share of the 9pm to 10pm audience, while BBC Two's repeat of 'Jeremy Clarkson: Greatest Raid of all Time' netted 2.3m viewers and an 8.6% share."
Not bad with the football dominating the night.

Thought it was good last night, I too agree that TG Stunt Man is growing on me... ambitious, but rubbish lol ! As everyone's said, great to see Cool Wall back... I won't go on any further, I think most of you have expressed my views in one way or another... bring on next week's episode!! ;D

BTW tho'... Richard's gonna have to watch what he does to the Cool Wall... how are we supposed to play the interactive game if he keeps changing his mind on the car ratings... the DB9 was sub-zero, but now it's been relegated?? lol

Richard tryed to relegate it, but Jezza put it out of his reach ;D I have to agree with Jezza as I'm off to drive one. Must say Richard looked gorgeous but I don't think there was enough James last night

Ok, I've finally watched it Jeremy's first review with the Evo (guh!!!) and the Impreza was amazing. I watched it on the plasma with the surround sound pumping and god, it was good. Beautiful music, beautiful shots. As for the Evo? I want one. News - excellent news segment, once again Jez showed a picture that we could not see. "I've been tossed by squirrels" sure, James. Squirrels, now, is it? TG Stunt Man - it was better than the first time. But I can't help but think that showing so many gratuitous crashes cannot be easy for Richard to watch, especially since they seem to make light of the situation. Richard's Audi review - gorgeous scenery and the mountainside wasn't half bad either I was literally scared for Richard driving along those icy roads. The car didn't impress me. Cool Wall - Yay! It's back, but...perhaps they need to get into the swing of things again with it, as it wasn't their best cool wall to date. They haven't had it for a year! But Jeremy did tear off Richard's shirt microphone, which was funny Merc Black - from all the hype I've been reading about this car, I expected something astonishing. The black did nothing for me. I was disappointed. I enjoyed TG going back to their roots with all the cars, but they should have at least given James a car to review. I did think it was crap how Jeremy had two segments. James....well, he was hardly in it at all, was he Here! Have some pictures:

Oh that second screen cap down is so ......sigh.... Hmmm I think we need to keep an eye on how much they are allowing James to do, unless it's because he was busy filming other stuff when Jezza and Richard were doing the car testing

Sorry this is late, but thank you, Lew. I found it on YouTube yesterday and watched it. I loved the mountains that Richard raced the French skiers in. Breath-taking, absolutely gorgeous scenery that made me want to go skiing. Those avalanche tunnels brought back wonderful memories of when I lived in northern Japan. Tossing squirrels and head-butting deer (I think he said) - James, poor babe. Of course, the other two had to tease him about it. It was rather funny though. Boy that was some advanced maths - he's a genius. The stunt started out good, but the landing... As always, I enjoyed Jeremy's reviews of the cars he tried. He did his sweet little giggle that I love so much in the second one. I also thought it was appropriate when he asked if we should drive with video game remotes. I really enjoyed this one, but I have to agree. Not as much of James as I would like. I also liked the Stig moonlighting in Dr. Who bit. My son really liked it alot too. In the actual Dr. Who show it scared him, but he thought it was funny that Jeremy said he was The Stig.

As James says he's the other bloke and probably more of a life (TV wise) than the other two, though I do think he's under used. Still he certainly makes up for it when he is there

I just got to watch this today and agree that there should have been more James. That's not just a girly thing either, my 17 year old son commented that James should have had a bigger part. And I had not said a word! We both want Evos now! My son has been in love with the Mercedes Mclaren for sometime now and was impressed with the Black.
