Squirrel tossing? Deer butting? Sounds like the events in a very unusual sports event. I look forward to lucy's explanation.

I thought that the absolute funniest thing on this episode was the look on James' face when he said the word "period". ;D Poor baby.

I finally watched the uncut news for this one. I loved it. It was very intelligent and thought provoking. The way James' voice rumbled at the beginning was intoxicating. <3 I need to watch it again.

Yeah, he seemed a bit disturbed when he said the P word both times. That was funny.

You know that shows the difference between when he is speaking 'off the cuff' and when it is scripted. He had no problems with the tampon cleaning cooker incident, which was probably rehearsed! (INMO)
*permits self the meerest gush*
love him!

Well having watched the repeat tonight, I was mistaken, it was just the squirrel bit that was off the cuff. The period bit was already in, so acting! Again IMHO (no idea what INMO ^^ is!!)

LOL. I never knew I'd develop new IT skills on here! Wonders never cease! Avatars, signatures, posting pictures, formatting text in posts. Bring it on. (How can I put this on my CV as transferrable skills? Interests - posting zany comments on a fan website, gushing in big and small fonts, selection of appropriate smileys, adding links to posts, adding images to posts - ooh the list goes on!)

Will do! Though he would probably accuse her of getting me on here in the first place. She's not exactly a sedate little old lady!

Since I only watch for one reason, and since there wasn't enough of that reason, voted 8. Everything else was fine, so didn't warrant me being harsher than that!

I agree with Ly, this episode flowed better. Stuntman has improved, but I still have problems. First, I assume that the cock-ups are intentional. It would be so much funnier if every effort had been made to get the stunt right. We know that Stuntman is actually a pro and very good at what he does. Why imply that he isn't? Has James actually had any involvement with the calculations? Why did it go wrong? I think an honest approach would have been more humorous, ultimately. I'm thinking in particular of the Reliant Robin rocket challenge which was fantastic, both heart-rending and hilarious when it failed. We were able to engage with the effort and enthusiasm of the team involved. We can't do that with these stunts because so much is being withheld from us in the bid to make it funny. Top Gear, for your rubbishness to be funny your ambition must be genuine. Don't get me wrong, I adore Top Gear and the boys, but they are at their best and funniest when all three are messing about and sparking off each other. Just not enough of that in this episode. And not enough James ;D News - always funny, would like more, obvious scripting doesn't matter. Cool wall - loved it (see above). Two stars in cars - Always enjoyable. Two just as good as one, no better, no worse. Car tests - yep fine, carry on. Ski challenge. Hmmm. Some fab moments - eg Richard's French - if he's acting he's good at it! But I did feel a bit as though as they were going through the motions for us... done it all before... *Bayleaf ducks for cover* TG, you don't need to try so hard for us!!! Keep it simple, potter about, experiment, insult each other, have a good time! Episode 3 pleased me more. Off to that thread now to comment
