That was pretty near a 'perfect' episode! Jeremy's idea about people that have had things stolen shouldn't have to suffer minor traffic violations until their stuff was found was possibly the most sensible thing I've heard in years. The double decker race was hilarious! Kiff may want to ask for a raise!

Jay Kay was awesome. I'm sooooooo glad he beat Cowell. I thought Richard was so cute, being excited about the new Camero. I liked the new Camero in Transformers, but think the 1976 one was more attractive. Adco said, "Jeremy's idea about people that have had things stolen shouldn't have to suffer minor traffic violations until their stuff was found was possibly the most sensible thing I've heard in years. " I totally agree. Until the cops find anything that was stolen from any of us, none of us should have to pay a traffic fine. Jame's TV was probably worth more than the ticket he was issued. If anything, the cops should pay him the difference of the stolen TV to make up for not finding his TV instead of him having to pay the ticket at all.

Don't agree at all I'm afraid. If you park your car or bike somewhere where you know it's not allowed, don't whine if you get a ticket. Just take it like a man and pay it. I know Jeremy has been trying to talk himself out of every ticket he got in the last few years, even taking it to court. That's typical behaviour for him, but I expected different from James. I was actually a bit disappointed in him last night when he complained.

Then again, Jeremy hates losing at anything. They should both at least be compensated for having their TVs stolen though. If they're insured (hopefully), they should claim it through their insurance brokers.

As I am sure they did. If they were insured they got their money back. If they weren't, they didn't. You can't expect the police (or society) to make up the difference.

He seems to have a bit of a bee in his bonnet about his stolen television. He's mentioned it in his column several times. Here is one (from 3 years ago!). I can't be bothered to dig out the rest.

Funnily enough I agree with Linden, as well as with Maureen and Adco here on the crime/police/punishment thing. As Linden, I also think that laws are made for a reason and if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But I can also see the other point of view. It doesn't seem fair that the police are prepared to chase up and hit normally law abiding citizens hard for petty infringements of the highway code or parking regulations, because they are an easy cop; whereas they frequently don't even bother trying to solve burglaries and other minor theft crimes which are committed by criminals, because allegedly they haven't got the time and resources! So when you fall into the first category (law abiding) and have been a victim of the latter crime (theft/burglary) but had zero response from the law enforcement body, it's only natural that you would feel resentment when you are punished for the former crime (traffic infringement) when the second category of people (criminals) get off scot-free! Is that clear ;D

Yep the best. I wish I could watch it again. (Reminds self to kick video across room when gets home ). Still, I'm sure Jezza was joking about the parking fines etc. They have a such a sense of humour those guys after all. Something I admire greatly about them, along with their devilish good looks.

Really? Oooh thank you thank you thank you. Maybe if I pay you to record things for me it will be cheaper than buying a DVD recorder? After all, all I want is Top Gear, and anything with the boys in it. I'm not interested in anything else. ;D

I just thought that was the best ending to a series ever. And I agree fully with the comments; I absolutely adore Sabine!I just think she seems like a lovely fun person and such a talented driver- I'm glad she has a show sorted in Germany, she seemed made for it. Thus I put her in HGFC!

Is that clear ;D Just read all this and wanted to say, husband and I are in the first category, which is why I said what I've said. Thanks, Maibee. I'll tell you why I agree with Jeremy and Maibee's last paragraph. Because a few years ago, my husband got pulled over for speeding, even though it was the car that passed him that was speeding. He did everything he was supposed to do, according the the Highway Code, and HE is the one who got penalised, not the jerk who sped past him that got away with it. I'm still sore at cops for that. But yes, all of us here know we must pay and would if we were ever ticketed. Been there, done that. Not proud of it. We're all only human, make mistakes, and are entitled to our own opinions and world views. If everyone thought and acted the same, the world would be a boring place.

Either that or Andrew Frankel, motoring journalist from The Times and the guy who makes an appearance in Top Toys as "James's mate". (He is the one who plays Colditz with him in the Cross and Keys.)

That was a good episode. not as good as the others. I wish they had more shots of James standing with the plane. I would have loved a screen cap of that. The bit where James was driving around the Japanese VIP's was the best bit.
