Ooh crumbs thank you for posting that - it has always been one of my favourites. I also love Fields of Gold, Desert Rose and anything from The Soul Cages album especially Island of Souls.
And on a completely different subject, (I read your comment earlier in the week), I am giving up my job in education in July. It has reached an unacceptable point for me, where ticking boxes for Ofsted and overall performance per school is seemingly more important than the education and welfare of the individual child.

Oh that is sad MoA. It seems that in their efforts to prove improved performance they lose sight of who they are trying to educate/support/care for/advise etc. But that is Local Government for you. They devise systems designed to improve but those systems only succeed in creating overwhelming amounts of pointless work, de-motivation for staff and a more limited end result. Where I work, thousands of people needing our help now have to whistle. It's very sad. I understand why you have made this decision and I may well end up doing the same.

Sad to hear that, MoA. A similar trend is visible over here as well. More and more attention is paid to tests. On a happier note, I love love love the Island of souls too, it's so dramatic and powerful. It took me a while to get into that album (SC) but now I love almost every track on it. FOG is my fav. song, full stop.

At the moment, I listen a lot to Rascal Flatts. I like their songs, and some of the music videos are just beautiful. When I started writing this I listened to Here comes goodbye, but now it changed to My worst fear. My favourite of the moment is These days. I love the video

Damn, this is a good album. Among the top 5 of punk classics.

My main music is Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Beatles, Van Morrison, most of the stoner bands and the people that died young. I do like the Clash and Duran Duran. That post of Herb was great and then I think about Karen Carpenter, what a waste. I'm somewhat still stuck in the sixties and early seventies. Stevie Ray Vaughn is great also.

Recently gotten into an american band called The Creepshow. Right up my alley with a song called Zombies ate her brain hehe. However I downloaded their debut album and as I was perusing the Jezza NC this song came blasting into my ears. The song is called Candy Kiss and ooooh fitted nicely for me youtu.be/42z_BdVgILsHeres the lyrics here I’ve got sick infection A diagnosed love affection I had it once and I want more There’s no use I’m just faking Tryin’ to be the girl Whose heart’s not breakin’ Your candy kiss haunts my soul How will I get my baby I gotta find my way home Oh how the tables turned And I’m the one who got burned I’m sure you’ve heard it all before But I’ll be breaking down your door Your candy lips sweet to the core So bad I long for yesterday The winter washed my words away One taste one kiss I’ll never stray I’ve got an ill intention You’d be my one perfection I had it all I want it back How will I get my baby I gotta find my way home Oh how the tables turned And I’m the one who’s getting burned [ Lyrics from: www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/t/the_creepshow/candy_kiss.html ] I’m sure you’ve heard it all before But I’ll be breaking down your door Your candy lips sweet to the core So bad I long for yesterday The winter washed my words away One taste one kiss I’ll never stray I felt the fire burning out of your heart and mine It broke me down and wore me out…I cried Oh all those things I said forever burning in my head You’re bittersweet and I want more, more, MORE! How will I get my baby I gotta find my way home Oh how the tables turned And I’m the one who’s getting burned I’m sure you’ve heard it all before But I’ll be breaking down your door Your candy lips sweet to the core So bad I long for yesterday The winter washed my words away One taste one kiss I’ll never stray Very very nice *boogies out the room*

www.youtube.com/watch?v=nikZyntcF5g&feature=relatedHanoi Rocks: Power of Persuation Unfortunately the live footage is of very poor quality but it brings back some bittersweet memories since it was their farewell tour and I was there just this night (they did 8 gigs in 6 days - still cannot understand how Michael didn't completely lose his voice). Oh, how I miss this band

Just found a couple of old videos, one of Andy Williams singing Moon River, one of my all time favorites and a duet starring Andy and Julie Andrews called the Language of Love. In the 60's it was about the music, not about the 50 dancers behind them or anything else, just the singers.I love Andy Williams and the late Perry Como, smooth silky voices.

Has anyone here heard of Il Divo, they are a band that sings in Spanish, Italian, English and French. They also did a duo with Celine Deion in French and English.
