Most of the contestants are ridiculous... but Richard's commentary is hilarious! ;D It is Takeshi's Castle tho!

I so agree with you Liz. Tears are running down my face. Is it bad to laugh about people getting hurt?

;D I love this show! His commentary is brilliant... I love listening to his voice. I'm also getting urges to run my fingers through his hair... it looks really fluffy. And when he said that one of the contestants was called Oliver, I squealed... which earned me funny looks from my boyfriend... and my dog.

Hmm. I think there were too many contestants in the first half. It got a bit repetitive. Like it from the sweeper bit onwards though. I think Richard was as good a choice as anyone to front it, though - I just think the pacing needs to be looked at again. I don't think I'll bother taking time to sit and watch it, but it'll be OK to have on in the background while I'm doing other things.

I thought it was mostly funny. Some of my comments I made about some of the contestants, when son wasn't in the room, were a bit rancid. This is a show son and I could watch together. It's not as good as Ninja Warrior and Takeshi's Castle, but I'll watch it again, since Richard's in it.

Must admit when I first heard he was fronting a game show I thought 'Sell out' Now I've watched it I really enjoyed it! Not sure Richard liked the beauty queen contestant. When she fell off the rubber ball, he made a crack about it being the inexpensive side of her head that hit the ball not the expensive side! I thought he was quite witty. And yeah I loved watching the big gobs fall in the mud too! ;D

Hmmm. Not my cup of tea whatsoever, these kind of programmes. I gave it a go this once, because Richard was presenting it. Won't be watching it again though.

I've just watched it on iplayer and didn't really enjoy it that much. I love Takeshi's Castle but this seemed to be missing some of the joy or inherent ridiculousness that TC has. It was too long and there seemed to be no real point to Amanda Bryam (?) being there at all apart from one or two cheeky comments and alot of gurning at the camera and to be honest all of Richard's stuff could have been done as a voice over. What's the point of fronting a gameshow when your not actually in the same country as the people taking part. It kind of smelt of the BBC thinking well we've paid for him better show his face ( I know those of you with a Hammond love are more than happy for the face to be on display but I just felt it jarred a bit with the rest of the show) Sorry peeps, that's probably more negative than it should be but right now I'm rather annoyed at the hour of my life I'll never get back

Right with you glam... what struck me is... fairly lame show, propped up by Top Gear's Richard Hammond?... second only to me watching 'Grumpy Old New Year' featuring Jeremy Clarkson, when he was only on it once, for about ten seconds?

Get rid of Amanda and put Richard there interviewing the people and taking the mick. It all seems a bit 'what can we do to fill the time slot' to me. It's a shame I was looking forward to it. On second thoughts I'm glad I withdrew my application Daymn that would have been embarrasing.

All we can say is... Richard's/Jeremy's/James' names sell?

But if they keep putting Richard's name to stuff like this it will stop selling. They should give him something descent to do i mean James has his booze and science shows so why can't they give Richard something good to do.

A bit of a bad call on his publisists part... Having said that, we know Richard can do sensitive and considered really well. The air ambulance thing was great. He could be the voice over of Childrens hospital!

People doing ads don't bother me i know if someone offered me a lot of money for a days work i would not turn it down especially if i had 2 kids and a new house to pay for. I must admit i do wonder once top gear has it day what will he do next? Hopefully James could carry on with his science shows and i do not think Jeremy is bothered because i think he earned enough from TG to set him up for life. But i can't see what Richard could do?

I think that he is only suited to Top Gear, Brainiac (I wish he was still on and then the show wouldn't flop) and his new Blast Lab show (which is good btw). I don't mind Total Wipeout, but the Americans do better unfortunately, or more the point, the japanese do it the best.

I love watching Richard on TG, Brainiac, but he should keep doing Brainiac than giving that job to this Vic guy, new Blast Lab is cool but Total Wipeout, his commentary it's funny but us Brits have some game plan to make us laugh I like James to do more of his booze and science shows, Richard - more science and kids entertainment shows and Jeremy, he'd do much better at hosting HIGNFY otherside TG. That show is good to brighten up Saturday nights as it's basically boring mostly.

Watching for only the second time... did they choose the contestants for fitness, or how irritating they can be?
