Please do! The same idea occurred to me, but I have no clue about that kind of thing, and that song has been stuck in my head since Sunday! Ly and Doofey, I agree with both of you completely.

Agree with everything. That 'game' is more tasteless than the comment. Glam that is a fab idea

I was listening to my Lynyrd Skynyrd CD the other day and one of the songs that came on was called Truck Driving Man and that now will forever remind me of Jeremy.

If only I had a recording of it! I'll give it a go as soon as I get my HDD recorder back from the menders ;D Unless Glam beats me to it - I seem to remember a few good videos from that neck of the woods...

Oh my goodness! It's Friday, guys, time to stop getting yourselves so wound up and start chilling out for the weekend!!! Maybe the MP has overreacted a bit but he's still entitled to his opinion, as is everyone on this board, as are the Top Gear team, as are the BBC. I just think everyone could express their opinions rationally without getting so stressed out - it's not good for your health you know. Anyway, for those who haven't seen it, I have created 'The Fatuous Award' thread in General Discussions - nominations are still welcome. I thank you.

As much as I love him, and believe me, I do, I think if I was personally insulted by Jeremy, I would be very hurt. Generalised insults are fine, for example, I am a vegetarian and he has commented on us vegetableists in the past. One thing he said in one of his Times columns once was something like 'if you want to be a vegetableist because you don't like the taste of meat, that is fine.' That is the only reason I am a vegetarian.

Thanks Wy. That's a good article, and most of the comments I've seen on other articles are pro-Jezza. I expect HIGNFY will have something to say about it tonight.

Yeah, I watch it on Friday (When they show it in Ulster on Friday) and record it on Saturday.
And that is a shock from the Guardian!

No offense to your dads wife but locked up i think that the worst i heard so far. I am from a mining area well exmining area and our sense of humor can be quite dark at times so maybe thats why i don't understand the fuss. But the way i see it people out there are comparing what he said to what those two tw*ts who rung up a 78 year old man and left abusive messages its no where near the same thing and people need to grow up and realized this.

I take no offense to that whatsoever nobody. What she said was completely wrong. Locking him up? Hah! No way!

I think I will have to be mindful of my mouth if I ever meet your dad's wife, Vix - you know what my sense of humour is like (you've heard how I described the designer of the Ssangyong Rodius) and after the best part of 20 years of exposure to Jeremy I'm extremely likely to say something that will require me to belocked up too. Mind you, if it meant being locked up with Jeremy to "contemplate our digressions" it might not be so bad

LOL! And you heard her description of Jeremy.... I think, if you ever visit me, a trip to my dad's to meet them won't be necessary! ;D

That would be like visiting my mother. Her views on politics and religion are so extreme, I really have to watch what I say around her or change the subject just to keep the peace. And all of you know what I'm really like - very opinionated and warped.
