I was wondering if there are girly's with tattoos here. I have "a few" tattoos. mainly on my back. I don't think James would approve of tatts now would he?

I have Gary Oldman as Dracula on my right upper arm. I love it. I'm a huge Dracula fan and love the 1992 version with Gary so had to have it. My friend is an excellent tattooist and she designed it for me. A true one off ;D I'm sure James wouldn't approve but...love me love my tat

James might surprise us all and actually like tattoos. Mind you, i dont think i would be too surprised if he did. I have none. I'm too afraid of the pain & it going sceptic. Plus i'd have to have something i'd want to be on me forever.

I was reluctant & only had them done to keep her quiet and...well, to be like my friends. Forgot to put my studs in one night, holes closed up. Had them pierced again (same holes) when 18, strand of hair went through hole along with ear-ring pin, earlobe swelled, pus, blood etc. No more piercings for me.

I liked the idea of a tattoo but I never went through with it. I would have had something celtic probably - maybe there is a wilder me somewhere in an alternative universe. She also smokes heavily and has a mouth like a sewer (well that last bit has cropped up in this universe too ;D).

I have no tattoos nor do I want any. Not my cup of tea. I was brought up with the notion that if you had tatts you had either been in the Navy or "Inside"...sorry Kimmi... ;D Ooops. I think I may possibly have alienated a lot of our members, sorry. I have my ears pierced if that is any consolation. ;D ;D I've heard of lots of septic, infected, icky things stories too and I don't want any. Dr Eclair likes hygiene and sanitation. If only my unit were like that. ;D

i like piercings and i have had quite a few but work have made me take out all my favourite ones so theyv closed up to a point where the only ones i can get in are the ones in the bottom of my ears that i had done when i was 10. i had my rook and my tragus done with about 5 holes down each ear, it looked cool but it was hard to sleep on....a tattoo is so permenant and i know im too flighty to get anything that will still mean something to me 20 years from now...

how weird, lol i spend 2 hours of my day today in a tattoo shop with my bro while he was getting his finished. coincidently im getting my second one done friday. i already have one on my lower back. i will most likely have about 5 more. i love them ;D I think James may approve, only if they are tasteful, which mine are ;D Even if he doesnt, well i still think they are cool. You're like me... I have 5 tattoos, including a tribal on my lower back, and still I want more of them... it's almost an addiction isn't it?

There are lasers who can erase tattoos. I always go to the same tattoo-artist and he has a laser that erases your tattoos with no marking afterwards and it's painless. The technology for tattoo-removal has improved a lot so those who say I don't want a tattoo because I can never get it off anymore, don't have a reason not to have one anymore ;D About the septic thing... there are good artists and bad artist. Pick your tattoo-artist carefully... go to his/her shop a couple of times before you're getting one done. Check for overall cleanness, and look at the sterilisor he/she uses, if that's in tip-top condition. If everything looks neat and tidy than you shouldn't have any problems. Note: don't have any tattoos on fairs

I've always quite liked the idea of a small, discreet tattoo, but never had enough courage or inspiration to actually go ahead with it.
My Mum banned me from having my ears pierced when all my friends were having it done, but my best friend said that would be my 18th Bday pressie from her - and she kept to her word. I had a second one put in one ear about 10 years ago for a fancy dress party & kept it.

I have got my ears pierced though!!

I once mused getting the teeth-marks done on the neck, and then remembered that I'd probably faint with fright or something similar - I suppose technically the resulting pale pallor might have looked like ole Drakkie'd had a good go anyway. I've always said since I was little that I'd get 'Freddie Mercury' inked into me in some graceful cursive script (probably on the lower back), and that's still in mind. Though I'm after a lip ring at the moment - whenever my mouth is in some form of pain I find it disturbingly sensual, so my oddly optimistic outlook is that the experience of getting it done wouldn't be too adverse.
