Ah, but the three-pint minimum applies to the Meccano Spitfire. I daren't take Airfix to the pub, it would end up stuck to the light fittings and the tables and probably the barman, and that wouldn't go down well...

And you have to put cement on them too?

*grins* I do apologise - I heard 'Spitfire' and assumed it would be Airfix.

Oh, maybe, one day, I should get me one and give it a go. Do they do Airfix cars?

Not much info and not even sure if it is for Toy Stories, but two people on Twitter reported seeing James today. @lola_simon mentions that this morning James has been filming at her restaurant, which by the way is very conveniently just around from where he lives. ;D twitter.com/lola_simon@mattbooth reports that James is in Euston Station this evening. twitter.com/matthboothI can imagine the Euston thing is for the Toy Stories episode about the Hornby train set. Wonder how the restaurant feature will fit in.

Could he be filming a wee 'inbetween' type segment in there? Talking about/playing with trains over a cup of tea?

*wonders* On his way to Liverpool, like I was exactly 24 hours ago? James does often use the train for long distances. At what time does the 7.00 pm train from Euston arrive in Liverpool? You could be at the station waiting for him. ;D

Sorry, I just can't believe this has happened again... if he was getting the 7.07 train (and obviously this is a wild guess), it's exactly 24 hours after me, just like the times I missed him in Liverpool by a day... he must be following me!

Well, in all likelihood, he's probably unwinding at the Cross & Keys right now.

What a nice touch! If you can bear to ignore James and look behind him at the Spitfire, you might be able to make out the words 'Haldane Place' written beneath the canopy. They've named the plane after the place the Airfix company was founded

Glad you pointed that one out, the focus of the image is too captivating for me. So, forgive my ignorance here, I know nothing about planes, but I thought the plane was called Spitfire. Or is Spitfire the name of the type of plane, like the name of the type of a car would be Nissan or Bentley? I sound like a tw*t now!

Spitfire is the "brand name" of this fighter aircraft. I'm not familar with them, but there are probably some variants. Haldane Place is what they called this particular one, like "Oliver".
According to Wikipedia, the name Spitfire was suggested by Sir Robert MacLean, director of the company that made the planes for the British Airforce, who called his daughter Ann "a little spitfire". She must have been a bundle of joy. ;D
