I agree. I've never heard anyone refer to him as anything else than James. If he uses his middle name, he would have used it in his work as well surely.

Yes it could go on for ever. The capital letters would suggest the initials of names.

Why would James call himself Daniel? I know it's his middle name and some people use this. Sarah always seems to refer to him as James, as did his mother when they did the mothers driving small cars on TG. It is a mystery that possibly only James has the answer to. Because his dad and granddad where both called James so maybe his family called him Daniel so it was clear which of the 3 was being sent to bed ;D My granddad got called by both his names too.

Not really i know of people who go by there legal name at work because it makes life easer when filling in time sheets ect but use there middle name at home like my grandmother.

It's probably some private message or meaning. It's sweet whatever it is (especially if it's rude. ;D)

Yes it could go on for ever. The capital letters would suggest the initials of names. I don't think it's Sarah Frater though. It would be so formal for him to mention her family name and not just say To S. What about Stephen Fry? ;D

Shall we make a pact that the next person to speak to James has to ask him?

Well, to be fair, I've already read most of the columns in the Telegraph and in TG magazine, so I'm just sort of leafing through it.

Has anyone bothered to read the book yet or are you all still stuck at the dedication I've read some of it already, and it's great. I was only wondering if the dedication was printed the same in all the books, or if there had been a misprint in some of them, as it was suggested that the lower case letter was different to what's in my copy. I didn't mean to start a new debate! ;D

ooh i am now thinking of James dressed like a fireman. Ohhh now your talking! I suppose we could keep guessing for pages and pages, but does it matter who it is for, the person who its obviously for, they know and James knows, and thats all that matters, if that makes sense, i have been in the sun, far too long today. Thank you x

I'm excited because my audio version just came in the post yesterday. I expect that listening to James' soothing voice will make the drive to work much less dreadful.

I realised yesterday that Tesco still has the old title "Road Rages" printed on the shelf under the book. You'd think someone would have noticed by now!
