Being in Australia - I do doubt my missed call was Applause but you know how it is - the worst case scenario is always what flies through your head!
Good luck everyone ;D

Hopefully, some of you might get to be on telly. I do hope to get there one day. I've got no money to get there and the money that my family are using is to go to the Vietnam trip in April. Grr. Oh how I yearn for England...

Just to stop you worrying.... When I got the call I was in a meeting but they left a voicemail with the number to call and the name of the person to speak to AND a reference number. They also e-mailed me (at my last work addy apparently!). They aren't so useless that they try once and move on, at least they werent last year! Having said that they only called a week before the date, presumably so they are sure that everyone turns up. If they allocate now people will probs end up getting double booked or something. They did turn away 200 at the gate though

Thanks for that *stops hyperventalating* Apparently some peeps on FG had the call on the 11th may for the 1st july show Those poor people getting turned away at the gate I'd be gutted.

Just get there early. It was a 2pm start and were there horribly early as we are central london (and the traffic is totally unpredictable). I think we left at 10.30 and were there at 11.15!
Still, the tea at the Dunsfold diner is jolly nice.
The car park properly filled up by 12.30 ish and there were people arriving still at 2.
It was the last episode of last year so i think they just shoehorned people in to try and get the list down a bit.

If I'm lucky, I will be there at dawn! I can't afford not to get in, I will have to travel down and stay overnight!

When you get the call, I'll let you know the best place to stand to ensure you are first in the queue for the long walk to the hanger

They really should be stopped from giving out too many tickets. I know they do it for some shows to make sure they get a full audience but for a show like top gear there is no need to do that.

I agree nobody, as much as I can understand their thinking, it must be a crushing disappointment for those that have travelled a great distance to get there, and then be turned away!

Unfortunately that is the way the seem to operate. Until it is done in house it'll rremain to be unfair and haphazard.

I understand logically why they over allocate the tickets, in case people don't turn up, but it still isn't right really, is it?

If I flew to the other side of the world for this and got turned away that would be well.........ironic among other things lol
I think I would be camping out the front!

I'm crossing my fingers, legs, toes and eyes for tickets for 29th July (so I look very silly right now!). My grandfather only lives 13 miles from Dunsfold Park, so we (hubby, sis, bro in law and me) can stay with him if we do actually get tickets. That would be the perfect end to the summer term if we did get some!

Is there anyway of finding out which date you applied for. I can't remember which date I chose, and have cleared my inbox I can be such a fathead.
