I've got a toy black cat I've had since I was tiny. His squeak doesn't work any more & he's called Matagaty. (though I've never decided how that should be spelt!)
Maybe that's why I like black cats so much.

I have a friend who regularly sends out made-up stories by e-mail to all her friends called "Tails from Catworld". It's mainly a form of escape I think...
And I have white, long-haired cat by the name of Pandora who sits quietly on my sofa day in, day out (except when she gets knocked onto the floor by accident!) She's slightly grey nowadays - probably due for another wash...

I used to have 2 cats, Misty was a little boy who was a Short Haired Silver Tabby very playfull and cute as ninepence. We also had Kandy, a Tortoise shell little madam, and a little madam she was, when she was a kitten she used to toment the life out of Misty, if Misty was sat on the rug just passing time as he often did, she would walk past him and literally stick out her hip for him to chase her, then when he did, she would torment him, he was quite a big cuddly cat and she was very petite and quick. When they were kittens it was great to watch, she would fall asleep on his stomach and because he was so cuddly, her head used to rise and fall when he breathed. Sadly Kandy had stomach cancer and died about 4 years ago now on January 2nd, just a year after we lost Misty on the same day.
Those cats were very special and I miss them dearly.

Awww they never leave your heart, do they? I've been catless for about four years now...I so wish I could have one... but its just not practical where I live....they just make a home a home or a house a home...

I'v been catless for about the same time Choccie. I do miss them and like you say they do make a house a home, always there for you to come home to. Perhaps one day if I get the chance to have my own house, man, car. James do you want a live in lodger? :-)

This is my cat Jasper, he's 14 next month, even though he's 14, hes still a handful, and always running around the house, but mostly hes sleeping and eating, which cats do at their very best.

How Many Dogs does it take to change a Lightbulb?
Border Collie: Just one. And I'll replace any wiring that's not up to code.
Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned-out light bulb?
Dachshund: I can't reach the stupid lamp!
Toy Poodle: I'll just blow in the Border collie's ear and he'll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.
Rottweiler: Go Ahead! Make me!
Shi-tzu: Puh-leeze, dah-ling. Let the servants . . . .
Lab: Oh, me, me, me!!! Pleeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can I? Huh? Huh? Can I?
Malamute: Let the Border Collie do it. You can feed me while he's busy.
Cocker Spaniel: Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the dark.
Mastiff: Mastiffs are NOT afraid of the dark.
Hound: Light bulb? Light bulb? That thing I just ate was a light bulb?
Chihuahua: Yo quiero Taco Bulb.
Doberman Pinscher: Leave it out. I prefer to work in the dark . . . .
Irish Wolfhound: Can somebody else do it? I've got a hangover.
Pointer: I see it! There it is! It's right there! There it is . . . .
Greyhound: It isn't moving. Who cares?
Australian Shepherd: First, put all the light bulbs in a little circle . . . .
Old English Sheep Dog: I thought it got dark out there, but you know, from under here, it's so hard to tell.
Puli: You know, thees lighteengs appeel to my deep, roMANteek soul. I weell put on a leetle geepsie music for you, my dear. Then maybe we cry a leetle together, no?
Alsatian: Who turned out the lights?! Nobody move! You're all under arrest!
Cat: Huh! Who needs lights? Change it yourself!!!

MF, those lightbulb jokes are so funny! But onto more serious matters... a black cat crossed my path today, isn't that meant to be bad luck???
