.....And Bloke has nice manly forearms. *Hehe* Rather like someone else we know..... KitSitRep - Kitten poo smell is eye-wateringly toxic. Diva is a little devil. Black-and-white is a doofus, which is what Bloke wants to call him, but I'm objecting so no name agreed yet. Kits not yet introduced to VC as we're too nervous, but the moment can't be far away (lots of snuffling under opposite sides of doors etc). Have discovered that kits hold the secret to defying gravity but are not yet prepared to divulge it to humankind.

Update - black and white is now called Bumble because he does. Also gives Bloke chance to shorten it to something mildly rude, which is what he wanted to do. All three cats have now been introduced; some growling but no bloodshed. VC currently treats them with disdain and is staying out for most of the day.
No more till I have good photos, don't want to be boring!

Not boring. Enjoying updates very much. Glad bloodshed was averted and keep trying to extract the gravity secret. Then we can all retire and buy Astons.

What beautiful kitties. I envy you. VC sounds like he's coming around. I'm living with my Aunt on a temporary basis in Ohio.

KitSitRep - they're destroying everything around them and are putting themselves in danger all the time by hurling themselves off furniture, out of windows (it's surprising which handles kitties can open given a split second to think about it). Diva is planning world domination; brightest kitten I've ever met. Bumble wants to be like his big Uncle VC so attaches himself to VC's neck as they walk around the house. VC is surprisingly patient with them and yes, they all sleep together quite a lot of the time - result! So they're driving us mad, but boy! We love them so much. Here are the kits in the window and in close-up - sorry it's a bit blurred And here they are playing together.

They are gorgeous Dit, but are you sure they have enough toys??!! hehehe, it's just like having small children about.

Ah yes, the toys..... They are the accumulation of the many, many playthings that have been bought over the years but been rejected by previous cats despite being eminently playable with. At least they are keeping the kitties occupied though yes, my living room does look rather like an explosion in a pet toy factory!

They are very cute. Is VC a permanent resident now? If yes, he needs a renaming party.

They are beyond cute! It makes me want kittens all over again but I suspect my 2 would have a little more to say on the issue then VC. Plus OH is allergic to cats

Fizzy, I tried to talk Bloke round into renaming VC, or at least make it sound a bit more 'wordish', possibly changing it to 'Vizzy' (you'd like that) but he was resolute - VC was VC and that was that. Once you get your head, and tongue, around it it's not too bad, and at least there's a tale (tail?) connected to it. Mayfayre, we were surprised at how well they've all settled. There's a distance, of course, but it's all very friendly and they do sleep and play together quite a lot of the time. It was a surprise, as we thought VC would probably want to eat them, but it's fairly stressfree - so far! One last photo, then I'll stop as it's beginning to look as if I'm a bit obsessed......

They could be found illustrating "adorable" in the dict. As for VC, "Vizzy" would meet with my approval, but failing that, maybe he could be Virtuous Cat, or Valorous Cat, or Voluptuous Cat.

As from last night, he could be Voracious Cat. Brought a mouse in at gone midnight, chewed it a bit then let it go in the living room. Mouse promptly disappeared, whereupon Bloke, Bumble, Diva and myself searched for it while VC sat on his tuffet and chilled. Such behaviour will have to stop (fat chance, he's a cat).
Little Diva appeared from under the sofa with the (by now very dead) mouse in her mouth this morning. There was growling involved to get it from her, but Bloke stepped in and lobbed it into the brook at the bottom of the garden. Just as well - a couple of years ago I had a mouse in the house that took eleven weeks to catch, and I had to get a rat-catcher from a local farm to encourage it to leave - at least that one left alive!

What, you think I did that? I'm just washing my paw. In all my many years of having cats I have never had one turn over the litter box like that! Was it one of those instances where the cat had a wild hair up the you know what where they run around in circles uncontrollably?

I blame the guy who rebuilt my kitchen for me a couple of years ago, who said I obviously needed a cat station so fitted a step up for the litter tray, clean feed bowls etc. Cats remain fed on the floor. Then Bloke emptied the litter tray (bless him), put the tray back on the step and turned away before he had chance to put the top back on, Bumble decided to jump in and......
He can be really cute though - as with small children, at his best when he's asleep.
(I'll stop posting cat pics soon - promise!)

They are precious Dit. I wish I had a pet, they can be so comforting. Someday in the future one will turn up when it is time for me again. That is how I usually end up being a pet parent.

Captain-Interesting - yes, they're adorable, and I love them dearly, but being kitties they can be proper little s*ds!

Oh, of course. Goes without saying. Possibly part of their appeal. Mine loves to knock things over just to watch them fall, with no intention of playing with it.
