I don't think I should go near Selfridges (or indeed anywhere in Oxford Street) unless I leave my debit card far, far away! Too much shoe temptation!

I think a lot of the usual suspects are going so everyone have fun and James I think you'll need an extra table.

I'll be going - although most of you don't know me so I'll be deliciously incognito - and hopefully this time I'll manage to tell James my name. It's not that I'm starstruck or lust-filled or anything, I just get too giddy and chat about whatever comes into my head and then walk away thinking 'bollocks, I never told him my name'.
This time...
*shakes fist in a forthright manner and looks hopeful*

Newbie question here but can someone tell me what his book signings are like or at least point me in the direction of any posts about them? It's actually my birthday on the same day so other half's offering to extend our stay in london so we can go, but not sure I can justify the amount of money on a hotel lol. The shops are also a bit of a danger

They can get very busy. The last one I went to ran well over time to accomodate everyone. He'll sign your book and if possible pose for a pic he likes to chat with you too ;D If you're in London anyway, go it will be worth it to meet the man himself ;D

I won't go. Tis very strange this - but the only way I could face it is to pretend I was going just to get the book signed for someone else. In other words, I would not want to let him know I fancied him: I'd just like to be able to have a jolly chat without giving it away: is it cos I'm too proud or just shy?? Possibly - I dunno.
Obviously, this is impossible as I no doubt would give it away by being incoherent/dumbstruck.
Biggest issue is when I'm asked 'What did you do today darling?' I'm a completely rubbish liar...........

James's boooksignings on the whole are lovely. He's really sweet and will reply to the most crazy question. I think he's find these signings quite novel still as he's not done a lot of them. If you look on the public appearance threads the booksignings are well signaled
