I've only been to an Oz'n'James signing, and Oz did most of the talking that time ;D Well yes, James had a phone call when I went up  (really threw me) he was almost working at half his usually speed that day. But when he's on his own he's good ;D |

I won't go. Tis very strange this - but the only way I could face it is to pretend I was going just to get the book signed for someone else. In other words, I would not want to let him know I fancied him: I'd just like to be able to have a jolly chat without giving it away: is it cos I'm too proud or just shy?? Possibly - I dunno. Obviously, this is impossible as I no doubt would give it away by being incoherent/dumbstruck. Biggest issue is when I'm asked 'What did you do today darling?' I'm a completely rubbish liar........... I'm with you 110% on this one, don't think I could act cool at all and I'd hate James to think I was a silly gibbering wreak when actually I'm not normally like that. It's only James who turns me to complete jelly. |

I went to the signing today. James is obviously a bit more popular than Selfridges expected him to be and the queue was pleasingly long (glad I was at the front!), but it was all very well organised and although there was a little bit of moaning from certain quarters there was no lack of decorum (or at least, not from anyone I saw.) Annoyingly, my copy of the book is sliiiiiiiightly too wide for the space available on my shelf. Bugger!!
(btw if anyone is interested, Jenson Button is doing a signing there next week (Thursday 19th Nov) at 6pm.)

I'm just back home from London - lovely day - lovely James. He complimented me on my poems, bless! What a lovely guy he is. I saw the little boy give him a hug too - so sweeet! The chap behind me did nothing but moan about the time James was taking. I think his comments and a few more (they were workers on their dinner break behind me!) led to them putting a temporary ban on pics taken with James - missed out there! I asked him to sign my Car Fever book also, so that kept mr mouthy waiting just that bit extra |

Was it worth it to use up all my in lieu overtime, travel from the wilds of Derbyshire to London, spend almost a hundred pounds on trains, buses, taxis and a book I could get half price on Amazon, just to see James May and talk to him for a couple of minutes?  ? You bet it was!!! |
