Absolutely SUPERB ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Breath taking and at times edge of your seat stuff. Fantastic scenery, congrats to all involved And can I just say bandana + stubble = a VERY sexy James Now I have to watch it again cos I barely saw the ten minutes post James falling over I was laughing so much ;D Sorry James I trust you didn't hurt yourself

Simply stunning... I cried with laughter at the start, held my breath thro' the middle, and got goosepimples at the end...
It had simply everything... great vehicles, humour, camaraderie, semi-nudity, stubble... and James with a machete! ;D

That is the best thing, I think Top gear have ever done. It was so intense. And if felt real, the guys where themselves. They where so brave. I cant describe it, but Ill be watching it again later. It put me through a mixture of emotions... and i think James' 'Dont leave me' moment, was increadibly sweet. Iloveditloveditlovedit!

I thought it was brilliant too. Need to watch it again as I got a phone call right in the middle but the cinematography was wonderful.

Really enjoyed this. It showed all the strengths that the three of them have, without the silliness (or most of it). The Road of Death was quite astounding and terrifying. I couldn't help but say at one point, why don't they tarmac it!! ;D The only slip up for me was the obvious sacrifice of Richard's vehicle at the end as they knew it couldn't make it down in one piece, or indeed he couldn't. But brilliant stuff, and it's what they do best.

There are no words to describe this episode apart from ..............
BLOODY FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The whole thing from start to finish was amazing. My emotions are shot to bits and my heart is in my mouth. Will definitely watch again later when the motherly household is in bed as screaming toddler and Fifth Gear loving brother in law made me miss some of it.
As for your comment Jaq about stubbly James, I wholeheartly agree. Should wear bandanas more often the sexy bit of kit that he is.

Am i the only one waiting for the daily mail and green peace to team up. ;D I really enjoyed seeing the boys back together and having fun. The only bits i did not like was when they set Richards car on fire then put a snake in it and finished it off by rolling down a hill.

One too many snakes as far as I was concerned! Still great though!

It was excellent. Great stuff - beautiful place, funny things and scary things. I feel very silly - even though I know it was filmed weeks ago and I know they're all safe and well, some of those bits on the Death Road had me almost watching from behind a cushion I honestly don;t know how James, with that fear of heights, didn't go into a screaming terror fit, because it was making me feel a bit odd just watching those roadside shots on the TV. I'd never have managed to drive that road, even if I could drive ;D

I won't be able to watch this for a long time, so can anyone who saw it please tell me if it has the "three mates mooching along" aura that Andy said he wanted to recapture?

I think this exonerated the guys from the "they can't do the 3 mates stuff anymore" comments. As a fellow sufferer of the vertigo/acrophobia thing, I really don't know how James did some of that. It can be a physical response as well as a psychological one, and it's not easy to point that car when your pulse is racing, you're sweating and your brain's frozen!

Wow. Just... wow. There were several moments on the 'death road' when I was biting my knuckles and yelling at the tv. I am not very good at heights and the bit with the waterfall scared the living crap out of me. My heart rate was way up and I was only watching it on the telly, so goodness knows how the guys coped - especially poor James and his acrophobia. I found the beginning a touch contrived, but it was entertaining, so I don't mind. As for Hammond's car rolling at the end - yes, it was clearly set up, but what else could they have done, really? A 'breakdown' wouldn't have worked because it broke down so many times, it would have been a bit 'meh' to have it finally conk out that close to the finish. Leave it and walk away? That's not the TG way. Have Richard attempt to drive down a sand dune in a car that simply wouldn't have been able to do it? He's been upside-down before, and it didn't do him any good at all. Rather a silly 'car rolling down the hill' moment than a presenter deciding that they'll give it a go 'because it's there' and ending up in hospital. Right up there with Botswana and the Polar special for me

Okay, I've seen about the first half hour now, hoping for the rest to be uploaded. Poor Hammond! It's rare that he comes off the worst in these shows

Definitely lived up to the yearly "specials" tradition TG have created. It had everything we could ever want, with bonus Rambo!James! ;D Gorgeous cinematography, funny bits, utterly terrifying bits, touching moments and excitement. I have no idea how James drove that mountain road. Felt the start of an honest-to-god panic attack just watching him trying to tough it out. I found myself shouting ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME at my computer screen more than once, heh. I had to mentally shake myself and remember the fact that we know they're all alive today, LOL.
I, too happily, put this episode way up there with the Polar Special, Botswana and Vietnam. Incredible.

A new favourite for me too. Better than botswana, loved the beginning when they looked to be progressing through the jungle only to find they had barely moved away from the riverbank! Only glad we don't have smelly vision cos I bet they were all a bit whiffy...........

oh my god.
One of the best TG ever. I reckon it beats the Polar one in terms of just sheer awesome. It seems like the beginning with the raft was a little put-on in places, but it just seemed to become more... real? as it went on. I wish these episodes would be longer! Did love the copious amount of wine bottles at their first campsite ;D Definitely 10/10 for me. Highlight of TG this year.
However I shall be spending the rest of tonight in the Corner >.> Rambo!James etc. Guh.

6.4 million viewers (peaking at 7.2). Back on form and the most watched programme last night by the looks of things. Did I imagine it last night, or was there also a scene where James was doing his trousers up? ;D ;D I see The Monk has been commenting again. I did hope he meant it when he said he'd decided to get a life, but unfortunately that was someone elses wishful thinking.

OMG I have not seen this yet as I am still waiting for it to "arrive" like Asparay.... ..... but I am seriously looking forward to it now ;D even more than I was before. Sounds like I need to get a place booked in the Naughty Corner as well because a stubbly sexy James Rambo stylie sounds very very yummy!
