When the cars first came down the river on the barge, I laughed so hard I nearly fell off my chair. Jeremy had chosen Sindy's 1980s caravan tow-car! Here is my little sister at Christmas about a million years ago. See what I mean?

This is the best TG I've seen in a long while. And I've not enjoyed a special this much since the Polar trip. Stunning photography and beautifully edited - plus magic moments with the boys.
If this isn't up for a handful of awards next year, I shall stomp my feet. a lot .

I'm at the part where Hammond gets a buzz off coca leaves and I've had to pause it because I was laughing too hard

Just watched this episode .........words fail me ........... it was bloody brilliant, I'm speechless. It was all the things Top Gear should be about and the magic was there is vast quantities, not too much silliness. I loved the bit where Jezza was seriously talking about being a team, it showed just how much he was suffering and scared about what might happen up there at such a high elevation. James and the machete, so macho.......... so sexy. Loved the comment about how good he seemed to be with the vaseline and condom! Oh how my heart went out to him when he uttered the line "don't leave me". Terrifying at times, they really did look quite scared, even though I knew they made it back safely my heart was still in my mouth at times. Going to have to watch it again, it's definitely up there as one of the best episodes ever. Those guys are awesome, they are the best.

A brave YouTubist posted the episode today.
Hooray for gratuitous semi-nudity! Hooray for Captain Rambo and His Belt of Many Things!
I almost peed myself at two points: when Hamster was freaking out over the bugs, and the epic "Jezza on Death Road" sequence.
Wait, make it three: "I AM THE GOD OF HELLFIRE!" *cue Jeremy angering the ecomentalists and the Daily Mail with His Chainsaw of Treemendous Powerrrr*
If BBC America edits this I shall bone their dog!

I find whoever is broadcasting TG here usually re-edits things (ie the Vietnam special aired here the other night - entirely new soundtrack + missing bits) - get the UK version, usually gives the best results.

;D Finally got to watch this last night ;D BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D I loved the whole thing, the jungle "rambo" stylie section at the beginning was fab, Hammond doing the whole water and hair flicking thing was hilarious ;D and *swoon* a certain Mr May with a machette and bandana was amazing... and hilarious at times. Hilarious Hammond moments - the coca sweet aftermarth and the freaking out at the insects... could not stop laffing! Mr May - so many amazing moments... but I did want to give him a massive hug when he said "Please don't leave me" on the Death Road.... it seemed like May & Hammond had a real mates together in a fix "bond" going on which was lovely to see. Proper genuine stuff unlike some of the recent scripted nonsense that's been on TG of late. I felt for them when they were at 17,000ft in the Atacama Desert as well.... I've been there (back packing in my long distant youth) and visited La Paz (I went by train not road for obvious reasons!) and the Atacama Desert and the Andes and I went as high as 18,000ft and beleive me it is mind blowing the lack of oxygen and the inablity to be able to do such simple things as talk! How they mananged to be able to push and jump start Clarksons car is beyond me as I had diffeculty doing more than walking & talking at the same time at that altitude! Round of applause for that for sure. Luckily I never suffered from altitude sickness like it seemed that the guys were with the dizziness and headaches - they definitely did the right thing turning back. Loved James's comment about the air being "lung nector" and Richard saying the air was "chewy" - they were spot on, I remember that feeling! Did make me want to relive my youth and head back off to South America again just for the stunning scenery... memories of the mad things you do when your young Will have to watch the whole thing again for sure as I feel like I missed bits cos I was laffing at other bits if you get what I mean! Right I'll stop rambling on now... ...and head back to the Naughty Corner.... ...for reasons I will not say here but I'm sure you understand

All the scenery makes me want to go there with all my cameras in a bag (ok they'd take up several bags >.>) and just photograph everything. It's all just such stunning visuals!

Absolutely Awsome!!!! Enjoyed the Bolivian episode sooooooo much!
How did james manage to drive along that road??? I am terrified of heights and was scared just watching it. And they were all obviously suffering really badly from altitude sickness over the mountains, how did they keep going as long as they did??? Me and the husband were on the edge of our seats. James in bandana with machete was very sexy indeed! almost fell off my seat then too! (Slopes off to naughty corner with gin, cigarettes and laptop to watch it again on BBC iplayer.)

A brave YouTubist posted the episode today. He did, and I downloaded all the eight parts, haven't had time to watch them yet though. I was in the middle of downloading them when I read on a website that season 14 will start airing in this country on January 25th! Speedy calculation told me the Bolivian special will air here on March 1st. I'll be recording it on DVR and just maybe I'll be making a DVD of it too... A brilliant start for the new year.

Those guys have travelled to some awesome parts of the world and to a certain extent (despite the terrors of their trips) have been well looked after by the BBC. They are just sooooooo lucky. "Good day at the office dear" takes on a whole new meaning for them. I'd love to just listen to them chatting naturally and opening about their adventures.

This was a good one for Clarkson fans... not even knowing he would be safe kept me from getting scared when he nearly went off the cliff in Bolivia. And I like it when James calls him "Jezza"
