You've got me started now, From Afar. Makes me think of Boris Becker and the cupboard (snigger). That was an unexpected incident after a few drinks....
Any further explanations would have to be in the Naughty Corner!

I found the piece that was playing as they were driving under the pretty sky. I can't seem to stop listening to it. Ludovico Einaudi, "Lady Labyrinth" www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCNXp6LRP7E

It looks like Channel Nine in Oz are starting off our new season with this special.
Which would be great but I will be in the air flying to Sydney when it is on.

Look at it this was MissP - the reason you will miss it is it because you will be on your way to see them in the flesh ;D which is way better than on the TV!

I could be the last TG fan to see this but I finally did yesterday morning. Amazing. I was in tears from laughter and on the edge of my seat all at the same time. They have the best job in the world, I would love to have half the adventures they do! May have to get to South America now too....... Love how Jeremy was all "we are a team" when they were battling with the high altitude but two other times he left James and Richard behind - nice Jezza, nice Brilliant. Can't wait to see how they will try to top this.

The Bolivia special was finally aired in Finland last night (and repeated twice today and one more time next Sunday). I've had the episode as YouTube downloads ever since it was aired in Britain, but it was fun to see it on a bigger screen as well. Highly enjoyable it was, hubby liked it a lot, too.

I finally got around to watching this episode on the DVD with the commentary on. It was really great to watch and drool over James's voice learn so much about what went on behind the scenes. But I thought about all the ladies here at one point after James explained something about why he did a certain repair or something of that nature and one of the other commentators said "and that is why James is the thinking woman's crumpet". I just loved that! I thought it was very true. Then I of course mentally added that it was also how incredibly hot he is but that is simply incidental I'm sure you would agree. ;D

Especially about the camera! I wrote many articles about the transition between old photography and modern digital photography, having been certified in each method (including developing b/w and color film), and I felt sad when film photography started to die. Now I can't even imagine my career with out a digital camera. Wild.

I know it's a bump, but I found this photo taken on the 'death road', and it clearly shows that the perils there are very real.

Mitsubishi is running ads of their cars using that "camino de muerta". I can understand James being scared and admitting. The scene with Jeremy could not be faked. He was even affected as he put his head on the steering wheel!

What do you reckon they were going to do with that bicycle? Is the legend "www.gravitybolivia.com" a clue?

How scary. The Bolivia trip is still my favourite adventure they've done... they where so brave up on that 'road'.
