Yes, me too. I'm not sure how I'd cope without James in my (virtual) life and the way he makes me (virtually) feel.
Great commercial, I just love the twinkle in his eye and the comment about the blister, priceless.

I tried to screencap that shot but I'm having trouble with Paint again. I can never remember what to do to save the pic after I've cropped it - I end up saving the whole screen or the whole screen minus the bit I want!

I have a feeling we won't get the ads in my neck of the woods so I'll just have to rely on this Board and YouTube.

I don't crop in Paint. I can never get it to work. Ok, I'm also too lazy to bother with "Help" or a tutorial. But, with that said, after I save the whole screencap, I upload it to photobucket and crop it there. Much easier! ;D ;D

And I definitely won't be seeing these ads here!

I agree but that pic is a bit unerving, his eyes seem to have gone brown whereas as the one with pint in hand shows them to be that usual lovely blue colour.

That's just the light. It can make eyes look a different colour sometimes.

It can be the light, and it can also be the photography and machines that go ping in post-production (color grading). I must admit, the brown/gold light in this ad is very pretty, to me. XJ, I totally agree that it is nicely unpretentious for an ad!

I'm not really sure what the 'will walk somewhere for' line is playing off, though. I mean, his reputation is that he won't run anywhere (i.e. he'll only walk). Unless it's a jab at him being on Top Gear and thus associated with cars.

I'd like to try it too. However someone mentioned it didn't travel well, so I don't know what you would end up with down here.
Not to mention it is very expensive.

I think it's exactly that: they probably showed James walking to the pub to avoid criticism that a motoring journalist / presenter of a car show shouldn't be promoting alcoholic beverages.
