I feel your pain lew. I hate having my precious days off disturbed. We haven't had much snow since Monday but what there is has frozen into rocks of ice. The pavements are lethal and I still haven't had a snow day off. I want it to go now,it's no fun anymore.

Bored. Hate the snow. Couldn't get to work. Trapped in the house. Only entertainment stupid neighbours trying to get stupid car down stupid snowed up road. Taken an hour so far and they have only gone back to where they started. They probably only want to go to Sainsburys which is usually a 15 minute walk. Now a blizzard has started. Aaargh. ;D

It's been snowing here again for most of the day. Managed to get a couple of loaves of bread so fully stocked again. Come on boss, ring to say school is closed again tomorrow! The second bench looks a bit like an Ikea sofa ;D

Wow, so much snow, we've only had 3 inches but that's more than enough for me. I'm with Lymaze on this, I'm bored and I hate snow. Grrrrrr.

Well, we did have snow. Enough to coat things. Then torrential rains last night. There is now a 5-inch patch of snow next to my neighbor's driveway where she had piled it all. That's all that's left on our street. The lawns are green again. Of course, everything else is brown and gray!

Still willing to share snow, it doesn't look as though it will be melting anytime soon, it's minus 15 here at the moment.

Thought to myself "i've got time i'll order those leggings from Boden".....guess what, sold out and they had stacks the other day Oh well, a pair of boots and a jacket, to make me happy ;D This snow is costing a fortune overtime next week

If Boden fails, I tend to poke around on Asos.com. Their quality's nothing like as good as Boden but their prices are much, much cheaper. Their legging are really nice though. Having said that, I've been Boden-ing recently (don't like their new size range... since they started doing bigger sizes, they seem to have started making their clothes smaller... had to send the most gorgeous coat ever back because it claimed size 22 - bigger than I normally buy, but I wanted it loose - but fitted like a size 18), but mostly on eBay! I want another pair of the slouchy velvet trousers they did a couple of years ago because they are warm and cosy and lovely AND FIT PROPERLY unlike the trousers they're making this year (don't get me started on the Boyfriend jeans, massive in the waist but the fly buttons WOULDN'T DO UP and they only do the next size up, which wouldn't fit properly in any case because I'd be able to fit me and someone else in the waistband, in long fitting which is as much use as a bacon butty at a bar mitzvah when you're only 5'2"). Of course, all this lovely cosy clothes will be relegated to the back of the wardrobe when the temperature goes up tomorrow and we reach the dizzy heights of 4 degrees. Perhaps I should just stick with the heather coloured slouchy lovely trousers. I've found some grey ones (BNWT) on eBay... but they're bloody LONG FITTING... arggggggh!

Worst thing about snow days would have to be the b....the f....*sighs* i cant describe them politely....the snowploughs. Our council is trying to "clear" the snow on the roads...and instead what they have done is make the roads have a 4 inch layer of ice cos they havent put anything down on top. To make matters worse all the snow they are moving, they are putting onto the pavements which gets walked on forming, you guessed it....more ice. If your in edinburgh over the next couple of weeks and fancy a go either at murrayfield or princes street ice rink...save your money...jump on a bus and come here....judging by what i am now witnessing my neighbour doing it will be around for sometime to come....boiling water cools you baffoon!!!

The worst thing about snow days is that I've now had one! About an inch dropped this morning, followed by another just after dark, by which time the first inch had partially gone. It's not enough to disrupt but I'm not fond of it, so as I didn't need to go out, I didn't. I've watched TV and 'played' on the computer all day, and very pleasant it has been too, though the cats are underimpressed and keep coming back through the catflap to complain about their cold paws!

Back to work today. Had to rock the car out of her icy cradle but managed to slither my way to the main road which was clear. Still plenty of snow here.

We have had a little flurry or two today but nothing dramatic. Mind, it was absolutely bleedin' freezing first thing this morning. Freezing fog might make everything look pretty but it's not what I want to see at 8am on a Monday morning

There was only about a centimetre of snow here anyway, and it was already starting to melt when the rain came. Feel free to send some of your excess snow down here! My parents live in central Scotland, so I know there's plenty of snow to spare round there; they sent me a few photos last week.
