A little snippet in today's Stamford Mercury tells us that things are well and truly underway for series 17  Top Gear stars Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond spotted in ExtonPublished on Thursday 5 May 2011 12:24 CELEBRITY spotters in Exton were surprised to see two very familiar faces in the village on Wednesday. Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond stopped by the Fox and Hounds pub in the village to do some filming for the new series of the popular BBC programme. They were filming at Exton Park throughout the rest of the day. Chef at the Fox and Hounds Ben Young, 26, of The Sidings, Oakham, said: “We did breakfast for the BBC crew this morning and I was hoping they would come to the pub. “When I saw Jeremy Clarkson getting out of the car in front of the pub I was completely star struck. He is my idol.” |

Thanks for posting that Wyvern. I was begining to wonder when filming would get underway, although it probably already has in secret . I think the series is supposed to be televised next month so the TG3 could be spotted anywhere and everywhere, but preferably on my patch.

James was here in Norway in the beginning of April to film something at the bobsleigh facility at Lillehammer, where they filmed the bobsleigh vs. rallycar race a few years ago I think it was something similar this time, with a Mini Cooper WRC. We met the Mini and the camera car twice when we drove around outside the facility trying to get a glimpse of anything interesting ;D ;D |

I think it was in the "A gift for James"-thread.. *runs off to have a look* Ah, here it is! jamesmayboard.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=photos&action=display&thread=1386&page=2I am really curious about that episode! What if they were filming when we met them along the road, and they're using that clip in the episode?? My car on Top Gear.. Wow, that's almost like a dream come true!! ;D ;D But, thinking a bit realistic, I think the chances that they choose just that particular clip is pretty small..  So I'll try not to have too high hopes. But I did get both James and my car on the same photo though..   |

Give me a brake... But @wriggy's scepticism may be misplaced, because a couple of minutes later, this appeared: @pagenelsonlaw: So i hear Jeremy Clarkson & James May just stopped outside Lincolnshire County Council to Charge their electric cars...wish I'd seen that!! and an excited fan has just posted that he's standing by Jeremy & James |

I really like the races across the UK and am looking forward to seeing it. I fear though that it will turn out once again as simply a way to take the piss out of electic cars. That's getting a bit old.  |
