That's a terrible story Inky. You would think that people who were going to take on a dog especially a pedigree would do their homewok. Crikey I even did extensive research before I bought my eldest daughter a hamster for her birthday last year. People shouldn't take on animals unless they are prepared to look after them. I hope they paid loads for her, and that the money is now lost to them!! Thanks grias, you wouldn't believe how stupid some people are when it comes to animals but this guy didn't fall into that category. He had boxers from two of my good friends back in the 80s and had even bred a couple of rather nice litters so ignorance is not a factor here. I think he was just too spineless to ring me and admit he had problems that meant he had to let her go. Sh*t happens, that's life and I would have taken her back in a flash. This pillock decided he could sort things out on his own......not He paid nothing for her. When rehoming an older boxer (she was 14 months old so as you can imagine, I was rather fond of her) my only consideration is getting the right home for the dog. He ticked ALL the right boxes and had references and that's why he got her. She's back home now thank goodness and I think she will be staying here from now on (pickup truck is on the verge of being upgraded to articulated wagon Six boxers and counting.......

Inky that's terrible. I hate the way people discard animals like they're nothing, with no feelings, fears or needs. All dogs want is a kind, warm home, and a nice bed to sleep on and some love. Not difficult. Nasty man - I hope he gets it back x 3 too. My parents took in a cat years ago which had been dumped out of a car. She spent days crying up and down the street until my mother got her in. Two days later she gave birth to 8 kittens. We had her until she was 20, but if she ever saw my mum leave the house she would follow her up the road out of fear that she wasn't coming back. The two they have now were so terrified to go in to their own home they took to sleeping in car engines and sitting in the rain all day.

Six!!! Are they all related inky and more importantly do they all get on???!! I have two cats one older and a kitten. They get on relly well most of the time. I'm more of a cat person myself, I'm out for most of the day so cats are a bit easier for me to lok after. Little one is going for her op on the 23rd, and the big one is due her jags this month too. Would't be so bad, but she is ALWAYS sick in the car.Hates getting in the kitty box too. I wish I could give her the jag myself at home to save all the trauma, not to mention assault on the nose in the car!!!!!

Nina is back with her mum, grandma, brother, uncle and Grand-Aunty. This is her catching up on some much needed sleep I think it's obvious how thin she is from the pointy hip bones and general lack of condition. I swear if I meet up with the bloke that let her get like this I'll end up doing time

Inky that is shocking I can't stand animal cruelty, I remember when I was eight I seen a woman punch her dog in the side of the head and I started screaming at her. I'm really happy the doggies in a good home again

I'm really happy the doggies in a good home again Thanks manson. She is the sweetest little girl and I thought long and hard about letting her go in the first place. I decided that she would be better in a home where she was an only dog with lots of people rather than a dog in a crowd with just me to try and share my affection out. Shows how wrong you can be. Men It's just brought back to me why I live on my own with the doggies

The way some people treat animals makes me really angry . Thank goodness there are good people who are prepared and able to take care of them properly. Just beggars belief really. Even in her current state it's good to see Nina home with her family and people who will love her and take proper care of her *sends positive energy to Nina*

This is kinda a random rant...........well not really a rant but more of a worry
My boyfriend has just left to walk home by himself at this time of night. He was at his friends and told me on msn. I'm really worried because the area he lives in is really unsafe and he's all by himself. He does'nt even have money in his phone!
Inky, I am really happy that Nina's safe with you and like Wyvern, i'm sending positive energy to Nina

So many kind thoughts for Nina, I'm sure she would appreciate them She's just had another dish of rice pudding and milk and gobbled the lot in a flash. I think she has remembered me and where she is, bless her. Manson, check on the bf if you can. Hope he gets home OK BTW There are currently FOUR boxers on my sofa - inky, rufus, bobby and nina - hence why I'm playing on the PC

Inky going back earlier to Blackpool Police Station - it's the only police station where you end up with more money in your purse than you had when you lost it
mum lost her purse last october and when it was counted the next morning they was extra in it - 3 times they counted it too

I've enough with 6 dogs Don't want any more though I have to say there was a wire haired Staffie cross in the next pen to Nina who was adorable and I was really tempted Poor little lad was going to the pound and you know what that means (7 days and then bye bye )

Talking of animals, some bleeeeeep bleeeep tried to steal our friends border terrier earlier this week. He thinks he knows who it is, and they seem to have the intention of using her as a baby machine. The git never even considers how much he cares about her. Ohh they make me so mad!
Oh and my very own fusker look alike was not been very well cared for, so I took her on to go with my menagrie! I bloody hate cruellty to animals, I'd take them all on.

Nina is jumping about and wagging her tail this morning. She ate all her breakfast and has settled back in with her pals. She did make a mess during the night. Probably caused by a combination of being fed and giving her a worming tablet They do say 'better out than in' but when 'out' is on the kitchen floor, I'm not sure I agree
