Wonder why they've moved it forward? I've been to the NEC every year since 2008 and it's always been my birthday weekend as my main present, and that's November 14th, so TGL has been brought forward by around three weeks. I can't imagine that someone at the Top Gear office suddenly went, "Oops, I forgot to book TGL in at the NEC for November, and now they've let our normal weekend go to the Battery-Chargers Admiration Society, so we'll just have to accept what's left."

Does this mean you'll be going then? I'd love to go, but all in all, flying to the UK, staying in a hotel etc etc. will be a little bit too expensive I'm afraid. Wish they'd come to Holland!

The TG Live website says in reply to a twitter query that '' yes, pre-sale @topgear FB on 2 May, and special ticket offers being announced shortly. Tickets on general sale from 3 May'' does anyone know how to access the pre-sale??

From experience, but not TG, book your hotels now before they hike the prices. Holiday inn express have stung me for paying £180 for a room that usually costs £ 60. They won't do it to me again.

If anyone's thinking about the Hilton (lovely but pricey) I've just got £70 knocked off a one-nighter by asking if they have any special offers. They "found" me one that involves bed & breakfast plus a spa treatment and 'afternoon tea' which can be taken at any time from 11am to 4pm - might not do those last two (probably won't have time) but it's a really good rate. Worth pushing the "special offer?" line of enquiry.

Not sure yet, Antonia, might try to squeeze in one on Saturday and one on Sunday if I just go for the cheap seats - I nearly bankrupted myself last year! Still, my excuse is that I tend to treat TGL as my main, and usually only holiday in the year.
I might go to the last show on both days, but that's as far as my thinking's got so far.

Anyone know where the guys stay? I would literally puke if I found out it was where I am. I scrapped the Travelodge. Managed to get a better hotel nearer with good old clubcard points!

Anyone know where the guys stay? I would literally puke if I found out it was where I am. That sounds like a very good reason to stay somewhere else Joking aside though, that's the kind of thing that doesn't get discussed on here because although we realise that the members of the board would always respect the boys' privacy, and wouldn't dream of approaching them when they're 'off duty' in their hotels, there are a few nutters who would, and who have (there was a particularly awkward situation with a "fan" when they went to Blackpool a few years ago). So if you do have information about this kind of thing, please don't post it on the board.

I seem obsessive, but not really. Like to have a laugh. And yes... puking wouldn't be good. I know a singer from a rather famous band (of whom not sure if I can mention). He's had a few complications with fans... not good. He was stalked in Sainsburys every week for his shopping! ha ha. Of all the places to get stalked... Sainsburys!
