Video: Andy Wilman’s Series 22 previewPosted by TopGear.com 5:08 pm on Wednesday January 28, 2015 Andy Wilman is Top Gear telly’s puppet-master. As Executive Producer of The World’s Fieriest Car Show, he’s the gent responsible for corralling the combined flailing of Jeremy, James and Richard into something resembling a telly programme. He also has a bit of a cold at the moment, not that he really mentions it much. Point is, when Andy tells you what he’s looking forward to in the new series of Top Gear, you ought to listen (and possibly offer him a hanky). So take a few minutes from your busy, busy life to watch this TopGear.com exclusive video, in which Mr Wilman explains why you’re being treated to a bumper-length series, why he’s expecting civil war to break out in Australia’s Northern Territory any day now, and a whole bunch of other behind-the-scenes tidbits. And, once you’ve watched it, pray help us to solve the single biggest challenge facing Top Gear right now: anyone got any good tips for getting rid of Andy’s nasty sniffle? bcove.me/kaaga57ubcove.me/kaaga57utransmission.blogs.topgear.com/2015/01/28/video-andy-wilmans-series-22-preview-2/

Top Gear Series 22: Episode 4 trailer
If last Sunday’s episode was all about the ambulances, this Sunday’s effort – the fourth of the new series, no less – is all about, well, the cars. As you’ll see from this official trailer, Episode 4 features such luminaries as BMW’s i8 super-hybrid, the Merc-AMG GT, the new M3 and, of course, an old Land Rover on the side of a very steep dam.
On TOP GEAR Episode 4- Richard drives himself up a wall (literally)
An all-new episode of Top Gear premieres ***Monday, February 16th at 8:30/7:30c***on BBC America.
Jeremy Clarkson tests the new BMW M4 at the track before switching to another BMW, the space-age, hybrid powered i8, for a revealing trip up to town of Whitby on the Yorkshire coast.
When he gets there, Clarkson must decide which of the two he would rather take for the drive home. Richard Hammond pays tribute to a 4×4 that has been in production for 66 years with a heart-stopping attempt to drive one straight up the side of a dam.
Meanwhile, James May makes a rare trip to the Top Gear track to test the brand new, 500 horsepower Mercedes-AMG GT. On top of all that, the stars in the Reasonably Priced Car are actress Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) and Hollywood superstar Will Smith.

Meanwhile, Richard Hammond is at the test track to compare the crisp, precision engineering of the new Porsche Cayman GTS with the thunderous, all-American muscle of the latest Chevrolet Corvette. Also in this episode, May tests the sensational, 950 horsepower LaFerrari hypercar hybrid on glorious Italian roads.

An all-new episode of Top Gear premieres ***Monday, March 2nd at 8:30/7:30c***on BBC America.
In this episode of the world's biggest car program, Richard Hammond is dropped into the remote, frozen wastes of Canada to test a watch with a built-in emergency beacon. Normally, activating the device would summon a vast international rescue crew, but in Hammond's case, the distress signal is sent directly to Jeremy Clarkson and James May who are disorganised, disinterested and very many miles away. Eventually, the pair get their hands on two machines they believe are suitable for the job and set off on an epic adventure to find their colleague.
Also in this show, Clarkson is on the track in the new 471-horsepower Lexus RC F coupe whilst star of The Fall and The X-Files Gillian Anderson tries her hand in the Reasonably Priced Car.

Some photos from last year when TG was filming at the Breitling Heroes Airshow, RFC Rendcomb in the Cotswolds hills above Cirencester on 11 May 2014. Hopefully, we will see the finished segments soon. www.airshows.org.uk/2014/airshows/rendcomb/Breitling Heroes Airshow, RFC Rendcomb"RFC Rendcomb, home of the AeroSuperBatics and the Breitling Wingwalkers, was the venue for a very exclusive charity airshow in Mid-May. Organised by Vic and Anne Norman, the show featured many of the best known display acts from the UK and Europe with aircraft ranging from beautiful 1930’s airliners to the latest aerobatic marvels and jet formation teams. The show even featured a high octane twist with a guest wingwalker taking to the skies on the wing of a Stearman. Aerodromes do not come more idyllic than RFC Rendcomb; positioned on the rolling Cotswolds hills above Cirencester the airfield oozes character with its original wooden hangars and stone walls surrounding the open grass airfield. The airfield is not only home to the Boeing Stearman of AeroSuperBatics but also many other classic and vintage aircraft plus Nick Mason’s quite incredible car collection. Though Rendcomb does not hold any public airshows, the airfield does occasionally hold some very exclusive charity events. In recent years these have supported many charities, and this occasion Help for Heroes was the worthy cause to benefit. The weather proved to be something of a challenge for all those involved in the flying displays with some strong winds and some sharp showers covering much of the UK. However full credit must go to the participating pilots (who had waived their display fees to support Help for Heroes) who flew in difficult conditions meaning a full afternoon of entertainment could be staged for all the guests. The first appearance of the ‘home team’ was not all it seemed with a number of BBC camera crews setting up around the airfield to catch the display of a solo Stearman from the Breitling Wingwalkers. The wingwalker was Richard Hammond and one of Top Gear’s infamous challenges had ended up at Rendcomb with him on the wing of a Stearman with Jeremy Clarkson and James May watching from their own “unique” picnic amongst the classic cars! Richard certainly experienced a full-on Wingwalking display with team leader Vic Norman performing some aerobatics for the camera crews and crowd before some more gentle low passes. The facial expressions once he had landed said it all about the range of emotions he experienced during his flight!" read more at www.airshows.org.uk/2014/airshows/uk-airshows-2014-breitling-heroes-airshow-rendcomb-review.htmlBreitling Heroes Airshow, RFC RendcombThere was also an amazing twist to the afternoon when BBC’s Top Gear film crew turned up shortly following by Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond. Hammond somehow found himself on the top wing of Vic Norman’s Stearman and was “treated” to a full display while his two colleagues watched on from their own take on airshow hospitality! read more at www.twister-aerobatics.co.uk/2014/05/11/breitling-heroes-airshow-rfc-rendcomb/

Watch the trailer for an all-new Top Gear episodeUpdate: now available internationally. BBC announces new extended episode featuring two unseen films from Series 2208 June 2015 Good news! The BBC has today announced that Top Gear will return to UK telly screens soon, with an extended episode to wrap up Series 22. Featuring a pair of previously unseen films shot for the most recent series, plus studio links from Richard and James, the one-off will air on BBC Two on a date soon to be confirmed. The first film sees Jeremy, Richard and James living the lifestyle of traditional classic car buffs, acquiring a Fiat 124 Spyder, Peugeot 304 Cabriolet and MGB GT before setting off an adventure incorporating brown beer, breakdowns (inevitably) and attending a car show where everything goes wrong. If you're thinking ‘unlikely to end well', you're not alone. Have a flick through the pictures above for a flavour of what's in store. In the second film, our intrepid trio attempt to become ‘lifestyle leisure enthusiasts' with the help of some very ratty old 4x4s. Armed with a budget of just £250, the boys each purchase a high-mileage, low-quality SUV - Clarkson a Vauxhall Frontera, Hammond a Jeep Cherokee and May a Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin - before embarking on a series of gruelling challenges, including a battle with the Stig's Leisure Activity Cousin, which climaxes with a race that has a terrifying penalty for the person who loses. We don't yet have a date for the broadcast but make sure you stay tuned to TopGear.com for timing announcements. But while you wait, you can check out the episode trailer below. For international fans please check your local TV listings for scheduling information in your country. www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/top-gear-tv-series-22-remaining-episode-trailer-2015-06-08www.topgear.com/car-news/top-gear-tv/all-new-top-gear-episode-airs-tonight

Top Gear: Jeremy Clarkson's Final Episode ScheduledThe episode will see the trio set off on an adventure with a Fiat 124 Spider, a MGB GT and a Peugeot 304 CabrioletJeremy Clarkson's final appearance on Top Gear will be shown on 28 June, it has been announced. The episode will be a 75-minute edition, airing at 20:00 BST on BBC Two, to conclude series 22. It will be made up of two films shot before Clarkson was suspended from the show and eventually sacked, with co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May presenting links from the studio. Last week the BBC trailed the episode, with a 30-second teaser. The BBC said the first film will see the three presenters "immerse themselves in the lifestyle of the traditional classic car enthusiast". The BBC released a trailer for the final episode last weekThe second will follow the trio "try to become leisure enthusiasts with the help of some cheap lifestyle leisure vehicles". The BBC has yet to decide on Top Gear's future following Clarkson's sacking, after he punched a producer while on location. There has been speculation that the show could return with a different guest host every week, in a similar style to BBC One's satirical quiz show Have I Got News For You. It was reported earlier this month Hammond and May had been offered £1m deals to stay with the BBC, however both have yet to sign new contracts. www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-33153633

CLARKSON RECORDED VOICEOVER FOR TOP GEAR EPISODE AFTER SUSPENSIONBBC boomerangBy Sunday Times Driving Published 14 June 2015 YOU'RE fired. . . er, hang on, could you just finish what you were working on? Weeks after being unceremoniously dropped by the BBC, Jeremy Clarkson has been asked back to help finish the Top Gear series from which he was axed. After a fracas with a BBC producer in March, Clarkson was ousted by Tony Hall, the corporation’s director-general, who said: “There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another dictated by either rank, or public relations and commercial considerations.” But Hall appears to have belatedly realised that this tough line conflicts with another promise the BBC made: to broadcast the Top Gear footage that was shot before the incident. As reported on driving.co.uk, the unfinished material, which would have been spread across two episodes, will be packaged together into a one-off special to be shown in the next few weeks. A new trailer for the special episode was released last week. To make it work, however, Clarkson had to be recalled from gardening leave to provide the commentary. “He has done voiceover,” the BBC confirmed. “He didn’t get paid to do it. Even though this happened after his contract was not renewed, it falls under his old contract. He is not banned from appearing on the BBC, nor was he fired.” In the special episode, Clarkson and his co-hosts become “lifestyle leisure enthusiasts”. Given a budget of £250 each, the trio buy three used “lifestyle” SUVs — a Vauxhall Frontera, a Jeep Cherokee and a Mitsubishi Shogun — and then embark on a series of challenges that include battling with the Stig’s “leisure activity cousin” and a race in which the loser has to deliver a nerve-racking after-dinner speech. The BBC denied that Clarkson’s contribution represented a softening of the corporation’s stance. www.driving.co.uk/news/clarkson-recorded-voiceover-for-top-gear-episode-after-suspension/

James May and Richard Hammond present their final ever Top Gear – without Jeremy ClarksonNew pictures offer a sneak-peek of the final 75-minute special featuring the three presenters, due to broadcast on Sunday 28th JuneBy James GillWednesday 17 June 2015 at 12:29PMSomething is missing from the studio shots of the Top Gear special set to broadcast on Sunday 28th June, but we can't quite put our finger on it... New pictures from the final ever Top Gear featuring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have been released. They confirm that while Clarkson will feature in the pre-recorded segments (taken from two films shot before he was dropped as a presenter), he won't appear in the studio with Hammond and May. The images feature the three presenters pushing and racing classic cars (a Fiat 124 Spider, an MG MGB GT and a Peugeot 304 Cabriolet), before hopping into 4x4s towing beat-up caravans. Back in the studio, Hammond and May are seen speaking directly to camera – without Jeremy Clarkson. The 75-minute special will air on 28th June at 8pm on BBC2.
