Don't be concerned, MightyBabs, we're all quietly insane on here, but we love it. Welcome to the mayhem! Have a good look around!

Hi MightyBabs! I worry about my sanity all the time...though I don't know if this board creates the worry or heals it. I think it does both. ;D

Hi MightyBabs! James himself has said that we are all Mad. But he means it in the nicest of ways I am sure. So, welcome to the madness!

Thanks, everybody, for the warm welcome. It's great to know I'm not alone in this. I'll start embracing the madness, which -- oddly enough -- feels warm, dark, and velvety.

-peeks in- Okay, I admit I've had my fair share of NC worthy dreams about James. I thank God that my boyfriend doesn't watch Top Gear. -deep breath- Ok, I feel better.

Hi Cal. Love the sig and avatar, particularly the avatar, for some reason. I rather like offset images.

The only way I was able to feed my lust for looking at James {which is all it is, though the sight takes my breath away} wasTV< DVDs and books. Now I have here: hooray. Madness indeed. It is only natural upon seeing the best looking man in the world to desire him to some degree. I would like to have the real thing and I would sit him down, and I would stare at him all day long.

Wasn't really sure where to post this, but this thread seems appropriate. After 443 days on the board/in the closet, I've finally given in and bought something directly Jamesy. Here's the ticket with the James-related DVDs (which produced a silent "aww" from me): "Grab anything by James May and get ready to feel like giving him a big cuddle at the end. He gets in touch with his geeky side without the Top Gear fellas." ;D I've been ready to give him a big cuddle for the last 443 days...

n'aww that's sweet indeed! Good for you, Pie, buying something directly James. You'll enjoy it, I'm sure. As for me, I've been ready to give him a cuddle for the last (counting...) 600 days or so! ;D

Thanks. The dilemma I now face is choosing which one to watch first. ;D I hope James appreciates the significance of what I've just done, as well as the considerable amount of money he's just earned. ;D

He might show his appreciation by putting some of that money towards a plane ticket your way... ;D My way wouldn't be bad, either. Oh I do love the holidays, time for happy thoughts again.

Now there's a thought. He can afford the ruddy ticket more than we can! I just watched some of 20th Century and it was more entertaining than I expected. Great stuff.

"PG - Mild coarse language, surgical procedure"? Which idiot decides the wording on these things?
Glad you're out of the closet, Pie. You can relax now when you experience a moment of James-indulgence. As for the money side of it, I always consider it as paying into his Ferrari fund. (By now I should have contributed enough to be entitled to a ride around the block!)
Wherever you start with the DVDs you'll have found something interesting. James' enthusiasm for his subject(s) shines through everything he produces.

I feel weird finding a man I actually don't know attractive... Never met James, probably never will, and still I think *wow* every time I see him on telly/dvd. OH finds it amusing, says that I should go find him, jump on his lap and cuddle (He's mad obviously). It feels unnatural, I am not a 14-year old schoolgirl anymore, I am a mature (really?) woman, I am sane (really?) and I act like a groupie If I ever would meet James, I would probably just stand there and act like this: "Hello". *silence* OMG - Can I get some pills now? *Hides under sofa and sucks on thumb*

Im a grown woman who feels like a geeky love struck teenager where James is concerned..... Although I have never claimed to be sane or mature ;D

Ditto what you all said. I've never had a "crush" like this before, and I'm certainly old enough to know better, but I clearly don't.

*Carry me away to the NC please... NOW* There's only one problem with that, mayb - any tenuous grasp of sanity or maturity you may have had left will fly out of the window, never to return! I think we all have similar feelings about suddenly feeling 14 as far as this man is concerned (I said something on those lines to a friend and she rather spikily said, "Yes, but you're not 14 any more, are you?" and things were frosty for a while!). The song lyric I use as my signature refers to a man being 'a car crash in my psyche' - something totally unexpected and dramatic, and also unwanted (at first), and I bet all of us on the JMB had that 'carcrash moment' when we suddenly realised the way we felt. Sounds as if you have a sensible OH who feels unthreatened! The NC is a good place to loiter, but watch yourself - you may never come out!
