Have a smashing time, everyone. Have decided im not going. One of my friends wont be able to make it & it'll be a long drive for my other friend even if she does stay up the pub with me. Id have gone on my own if James & Phil were on during early afternoon but the evening is too late for me what with getting a train there & back.

I will give a review & pics/video. It was hinted that James might do a questions & answers session.

SKY ARTS channel 267 are covering the Hay festival at 8pm every night. Might be worth keeping an eye on

I saw something called Hay-on-Sky on Freeview, Sky 3, about 10 o'clock this morning with Mariella Frostrup and thought the same thing.

James's is right at the end of the festival, so am not sure. Who else is on that night, can you remember. Jo Brand is on the Saturday, but I might go and see her in June for a proper gig.

1. Apparently some of the talks at Hay get put onto the website so you can download them as podcasts
2. If you're going - take wellies. My friend is there are the moment and says the mud is as deep as it was at Glasto last year in places! Hay is NOT a nice warm indoor festival! It's in tents and marquees outside and you'll want a coat and decent shoes!

Hi everyone. Am I the first one back? Had an absolutely fantastic time. James was on truly SUPERB form. Talk pretty much as for Cheltenham. Great to meet DD, Starfish, Sarah and Mayfayre plus friend. We all sat together in second row. Met James en masse for the signing, with individual photographs, lots of comments and laughter. We waited till he'd finished and he graciously accepted to pose outside for a group photo. Thanks to Mayfayre (and to her friend) for the excellent photography. Just had text from DD, her and Sarah are at station for journey northwards. Us for us Greater Londoners - I'm safe back in my corner of Boris suburbia, M4 was very very good to me and I practically flew, as I'm still Way on High if not Hay on Wye. Think Mayfayre was going to leave a bit later. And presume Star is at station too. I'm sure there'll be plenty of full reports later. I'm open to questions though!

Great to hear that you had such a good time. Did Jezza's column on Hay Festival come up at any point? ;D Yes, James acknowledged that incident and then every time he said something tongue in cheek, he said, "Joke, journalists." And he said something along the lines that I can't confirm what speed Jeremy was going, but I was doing 170 and he shot past me. (Again "Joke!")

Tell us more please Maibee...did you have a little chat? What was he wearing? Etc, etc, etc NB. My internet is very sloooow for some reason, sorry for slow replies. And/or the board is slow, probably proboards struggling with their many servers being down.

I had a blxxxxy brilliant time! I don't want to reveal everything because there are four others with their stories to tell and I don't want to take the wind out of anyone's sails.
However, direct questions, I'll answer in my fashion and the others can confirm or refute or amend!
Clothes - shirt previously unseen. White with dark blue swirly patterns. Dark (I think black) leather jacket, new more up to date cut and very stylish. Black jeans. Glowing complexion! Probably been off the pies as very slim.
We all had a little chat that was audible to all the others as whilst each person was standing or kneeling next to him, the others were a pack of paparazzi!
He spoke to me about the Telegraph posts, recognising me as a regular.

Glad to hear it went well. I'm still not jealous... Aww Wy, we spoke about you lots, so you were remembered and were there kind of by proxy! During the question part of the talk, as he had a glass of wine, someone asked about that and he did a fake synopsis that you could have knocked spots off and I whispered to MF, who was on my right, that Wy could do so much better! We all went for a drink afterwards (though mainly non-alcoholic), so there was much discussion and laughter. And your fanfic and writing forte were definitely on the agenda, so hope your ears weren't too itchy. All good though, all very good!

Okay. Specific question. Did James mention when the new science series is going to be shown? Or the new Oz series?
