The athletics world championships. Usain Bolt.....200 metres........I'm speachless *nods* You know it's a good race when even Brendan 'wittering' Foster is speechless... ;D I think they need to get Usain back on Top Gear and let him go round the track again. But this time, without the car...

Anyone who shuts Brendan up is worth a pat on the back Usain v. The Stig would be a race worth watching ;D

I suspect Brendan commentates on everything even when he's not on the telly.

Smokey and the Bandit (again). Many, many years ago I nearly bought one of those Trans-Ams. Exactly the same as the film - big, black with the gold eagle on the bonnet. However, t'is not a hatchback and as I already had two boxer dogs even then I had to say no Ended up with the Capri 3.0LS. Still black, gold and quite nippy plus the doggies could jump in the back ;D

Just finished watching 'The Italian Job' (the original, not the remake.) It never fails to amuse me, and the car chases, and choice of cars is fantastic.

War of the Worlds (again) with Tom (Midget) Cruise. Is it just me or does anyone else find Dakota Fanning a bit disturbing

To me, it's her very adult manner, all wrapped up in a small childs body. She seems far too 'knowing' for a 11 year old (at the time of WOTW)

One thing's for sure. No matter how much they spent on actors and special effects, this version isn't a patch on the 50s version with Gene Barry (can't believe it was that old. I thought it was made in the 60s )

BBC4 The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allan. Lashings of clips from the likes of The Lost World, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Towering Inferno etc. The bloke was a genius ;D ;D

I like Mr Knitting-All too Wy I think you would have enjoyed the Irwin Allan doco. I'd forgotten how many fab shows he was behind. On top of the ones I mentioned earlier, there was the Time Tunnel, Lost in Space and The Land of the Giants plus films like The Poseiden Adventure. Excellent programme ;D

I've just finished watching Jeremy's series "meets the neighbours" on Blighty - it's been on every night this week. I vaguely remember it first time it was on but wasn't into TG stuff then.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, and think I would have done so even without already having a certain amount of fondness for Jezza, as he came across as witty, relaxed, openminded and willing to throw himself into all sorts of silliness without embarrassment but with a clearly ironic awareness of how daft he looked (e.g. gladiator school in Italy, tomato festival (throwing tomatoes half-naked in a Spanish street), and trying to find out what certain preferences are from an Amsterdam prostitute (which sounds a lot more sleazy than it actually was - he came across as a cutely confused little boy).
Glad I watched it - it was fun.

Oh for goodness sakes - what an absolute load of old c*ck. I think the NTA awards are rubbish anyway! James looked loverly didn't he? He smiled v well at the 'let's show how thw losers have reacted to losing' shot - Andy looked unimpressed!

At least you don't have to watch any more of the unadulterated sh*te now that we know the outcome jacqui. I don't watch soaps, talent(less) shows and celebrity show off things so the NTAs are a bit of an eyeopener for me. I can't believe so many people waste the leccy watching these programmes all year round True just watching stephen fry then i'm off.......... in a huff
