Documentary on BBC4 about Brian Eno. I saw him with Roxy Music in the Virginia Plain days He has certainly aged 'well' (looks like Harry Hills long lost brother ;D)

That was a brilliant programme. I thought I might enjoy it, but ended up fascinated. I've had "Music for Airports" for years, and knew about his work with Talking Heads, but didn't know what else he had done.

It was a good prog dit, I agree. I loved him with Roxy and he did a belting version of 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' way back when. I bought the soundtrack he did for the Apollo moon landing (a choice based entirely on An Ascent used in the supercar challenge to France) and that is really good too

I'm here again I don't spend all day and night in front of the gogglebox, honest Signs with Mel Gibson on Watch. He is one of the few blokes who has not aged well He was beautiful in Tim and the first Mad Max but he's gone down hill fast since (and that's before you mention all his other problems )

WY, can you sign up on the computer (I'm thinking it's just a phone thing) and do you have to twit or can you just pick up others' tweets?
I was on a car treasure hunt tonight and have never been so wet and cold in my life, as the instructions took us to a village and then you had to walk round for a hour peering at house names, etc. I couldn't even have a drink at the end as I was driving home. So, getting to the point, I came home, put the TV on and found myself watching the marking section of Eurovision - and I sat watching it for 10 minutes!!! How sad is that - watching the marking of something grossly bad that you haven't even watched!

You can tweet from a computer - I usually do. The site is www.twitter.com and you can either use it via the website or through a dedicated application (I use Tweetdeck).

Have been catching up on my Jonathan Creek watching. Thank God for youtube! I can remember seeing a few episodes on BBC America, when I still had television signals beamed into my home, but haven't seen it for years now. Forgot how much I really enjoyed it. Long live Alan Davies and Caroline Quentin! ;D

I thought Jonathan Creek was best when Caroline Quentin was in it because they were such an unlikely pair. i loved that bit when she was pretending he was her boyfriend to frighten off a suitor (played by Nigel Planer) so she snogged him (Creek) and to his surprise he got really into it. When the man had gone she was revolted by the smell as he'd been looking in the bins for something. I loved that scene - sexy but very funny and beautifully timed.

I just watched that episode today! It was great. Originally, I only saw episodes with Caroline in them. I'm not sure if I'll like the ones without her, but I'll give them a a try. Right now, I'm watching them in order.

Glasto showing Muse but I 've decided they are one trick ponies (Muse, not Glasto . Watched last nights stuff and thought Gorillaz were OK (always liked Damon ) but nothing special. As for some of the other rubbish, I give up. The beebs presenters were terrible too. Dizzee and Snoop I must be getting old Florence and the Machine, La Roux etc - over hyped pap Just watching Muse Why did the The Lips end up on the "Other Stage"? They would have blown this lot into oblivion (got my Wayne luuurve back again ) www.bbc.co.uk/glastonbury/2010/artists/theflaminglips/

I'm back again Just watched the last ever Jonathan Ross. Excellent ;D (not the fact it was the last. Good guests Mickey Rourke - OK and interviewed well. Jackie Chan - complete and utter STAR of the highest order and finally David Beckham. What a lovely, genuine bloke he is (probably a right tw*t in real life ) He was so down to earth. I think I have a new crush Roxy Music were rather good too. I saw them live when Eno was still with them (showing me age now )

They are all crooks and it's a pain in the backside to have to go vote. I like UK and US system where it isn't compulsory to vote.

They are all crooks and it's a pain in the backside to have to go vote. I like UK and US system where it isn't compulsory to vote. I also like the US system because at least they know in advance when the hammer's going to drop, so to speak, and there's none of this futzing around "When's she going to call the election?" etc etc... I was fined for not voting in the last state election we had up here. And I didn't get the original fine letter, because I'd moved. Upon re-upping my driver's licence when I returned to Queensland, I got a $150-something fine... $100 for not voting, and then an extra dollop on top for not paying it in a timely fashion... So I rang them up and said that much as I'd have LIKED to have voted , it was rather difficult as I'd been living in the United States at that time... After more faffing about, they eventually dropped the fine (and a good thing, too! I didn't have $150-odd bucks to give them!)

I'd always wondered if they enforce the "if you don't vote, we fine you" thing. Guess I'd better show up!

I'd always wondered if they enforce the "if you don't vote, we fine you" thing. Guess I'd better show up! Er yes, the certainly do. My mum and dad were fined for not voting in 1972 (even though the way they set it up, they actually couldn't... long story involving immense distances in outback Western Australia) and they tried to fine me once before for not voting in a Queensland election. I told them I had, and that I had witnesses (all true), and that it wasn't my fault if they hadn't ticked me off because I'd been there. That fine was dropped, too, but with a whole lot less faffing about than with the fine I copped this year.
