Thanks for posting the link, it was an enjoyable article indeed. James is just trying to make things easier for himself here. If men were to smell like cars and building/fixing material, he could just go about his day and be ready for a date with Woman without any time wasted washing or using grooming products.

The January column is cute.. www.topgear.com/uk/james-may/james-on-open-top-motoring-2011-01-11Talking of sticking my neck out, a while back I drove the Caterham R500, which doesn't have a windscreen in the sense that I would understand. I enjoyed this car, and so did my missus, although she thought the experience was tainted by the need to cower in the passenger footwell. Awww!

James's article in the latest TG Magazine. I thought it was worth posting here. When you read it, you'll see why. Attachments:

Thanks XJ, that made me laugh and (almost) cry at the same time. "I'm always slightly annoyed that I bought a house in Hammersmith, because I'd love to be able to say he was Missing in Acton." ;DGee I love James' writing. How he manages to make such a melancholy topic both entertaining and moving is beyond me.

Ahhh. What a sweet eulogy to his much loved cat. Imagine anyone else writing about his cat in a car magazine. No wonder we all love James so much. Thanks for the scan.

Thanks for the scan.
By the last paragraph I was in tears. I know what James means by the 'elephant-sized void', I still feel it in my own home after a year and a half.
He's a very special man, isn't he?

Suzi lived a good long happy life. My parents have since gotten two other cats. I do recall Suzi being quite considerate(or annoying). Whenever I was doing my physics homework, she'd come up and start attacking my pencil.

Can anyone tell me what month's issue the article about Fusker was in? I just picked up the February issue, which is the one I thought it was in, but it was an article about James eventually owning a shoe shop. At first I thought that it might be because I was buying it in the US and it might be different. But it says "UK edition" at the top of the magazine. So now I am confused.

Aww, poor Fusker I remember seeing those photos of James with him on his shoulder a while ago, he looked like an adorable cat (although James says otherwise of course )
