Everyone was outstsandingly good fun and Tui you are a riot!  well....er....thank you i think!!!! I got progressively worse and by time me and vix got to London Bridge, well i can never look at doughnuts again ;D ;D So cool meeting you too, had such an excellent day ;D |

Evening ladies. It was lovely to meet you all today, even if some of the 'meets' were brief. The book signing was good but thanks to rnadom for the info re: touching the Holy Grail James, no wonder he was subdued. I had a lovely day. Was struck dumb (as usual  ) when faced with James (not forgetting Oz - Vix would never forgive me  ) and eventually got home at 9.30. Hope everyone had a good time and got home safely. |

   What a great day By Starfish. I left home about half hour late. I arrived at Bank station only to find that I excited out of Monument. Bang went my directions out of the window. after asking around 3 people I finally found waterstones at around 11ish. where I quickly recognised WCH. we chatted within the front entrance by the set up signing table. aventually a member of staff directed us to queue outside within moments of us leaving the shop Oz & James must have walked in literally behind us. they arrived 30 mins early to have piccies taken & to probab;ly sign reserved copies of drink to britain. spot on Time the queue moved along. I was my usual shaky self with cold hands. I greeted Oz with a hand shake warning him my hands are cold. he said in response I'm not surprised standing out there. Then I got a recogniseable hello from James who came accross very friendly asked how I was, & I asked how his birthday was & he said it was great. I said jokingly I hope you didn't get too drunk & Oz piped up it wouldnt be great if he didnt get reeally drunk. no comment from Mr May. He thanks everyone for the lovely birthday messages. although I dont know if he meant on JMB or DT. I then proceded to give James his birthday pressies. a modal Fiat Panda. thanks to Duch for getting that from Holland for me. & I also Gave him a keep calm mug which he seemed chuffed with. he said he was going to order one. Note photo exibit A lol He used his penknife to get it open. I think that is what he is putting back into his pocket. after Me & WCH continued to watch him sign. as he left I got eye contact with him as he walked past me. I'll see you later. James said see you soon. I later met some board members & had pizza with them which was nice. I attended the second signing at Foyles. I had two more books to get signed for stiga & Mojo. James said you were here earlier. I said they are not for me meanng the books & He said I hope not teasing. as I said good bye James winked at me. It was an amazing day. I posted the 3 best pictures out of the many I took. I may post more later. My new camera is brilliant & shake free I love it. Starfish x |

great review Star and awesome photos I have now fallen off cloud 9 with a bump! I was completely dumb struck when meeting James and could only muster very few words. Especially after he went to hand the book back then says, "oh wait i'll give you a kiss" *thud* Ah if only he wasn't talking about a X in the book Thought he was a little "off" and after reading the thread it is possibly explained why, that person was out of order. Had a wonderful day meeting and hanging out with *deep breathe* Vix, Amy, Lew, Inky, Ly, MG, Rhapsody, Wy, MF, Shazzy & Star. Big thanks to MF for photo taking |

It was lovely to meet all faces to names, and ones I know, shame it wasn't as long as I would have liked, Oz was lovely and chatty and James well, James ;D probably scared I was going to pounce  Your safe matey. |

Yesterday was great - sorry I didn't make myself known to anyone - think I spotted one or two - was was struck dum by seeing the man himself in the flesh!!!! I got what i went for, nice chat - about condoms  bizzare!!! a photo and i asked if I could claim the kiss and he said i could, so i did Still on cloud 9 today, can't concentrate on anything but memories of those sapphire eyes *sighs* I have photos will put them up later - one especially will be my new sig - watch this space! ;D |

What did your daughter think about it all, Jacqui? She was gobsmacked I think is the best way to describe her! Amazed at how many people were there and the amount of people that brought gifts! He had a few words with her too... she has a bit of an OCD thing about things being straight and in there place and as we were stood right next to the Drink to Britain display, she had to sucumbe to her urges and tidy the shelves. He commented - had we been stood there so long (*ahem*) that she had been employed and after explaining, he said she was "a girl after his own heart" (aww bless!) |
