I have tears in my eyes watching that clip of James there.
It must have outweighed anything he has ever done. I can thoroughly agree, it's left me speachless.

I think it's now safe to say James is more cool than Jezza and Richard combined. I also liked the way they used Bowie's "Major Tom". I think that is how James should be called now, instead of Captain Slow.

I reckon he's done enough to be promoted... to (Captain to Major Slow!) *applause* I mean, with him being a pilot, I'd have put the ranks from the RAF but they don't have a Captain or Major rank. It'd be Flight Lieutenant to Squadron Leader, but that doesn't have the same ring to it

Brlliant idea - i think James would like to be a Squadron Leader but as you say not quite the same ring to it ;D Major Slow ...........mmmm is it me or does this sound like a lead part in a p**n film One thing is for sure ladies we need to keep the MayDar up and working overtime, I think we are going to see a lot of James in the coming weeks ;D

That is never a bad thing. I quite like Squadron Leader Slow as a name but Jacqui, I am with you on Major Slow.

I'd just like to see James in a RAF uniform, personally... something akin to this *shifty eyes* <.< AnyHOO. Shall be def. keeping an eye out for things and if anyone has any pics they'd like in the next banner (TG S13, ...Moon etc) PM me with them (or where they are) and I'll see what I can do.

Mmmmmm, men in uniform, bring it on! I have always wanted to see Jeremy in a fireman's uniform, the blue one the UK firemen wear.

Well finally I have just got to see the trailer and it is gloriously beautiful (apart from that bloody awful first song) when the plane was going up with Led Zep playing in the background that was awesome. I have to admit though, I didn't get emotional like some of you guys in that way, that's just not me but I was scared, excited and gobsmacked. The view of the blue was stunning. Gloriously beautiful. I still think, no, rather him than me though. When he was in that wooshy thing, he did look terrified.

Did you all hear the little cowboy laugh when he went up in the plane. I think he only ever does that when he's really really excited. ;D

I still think, no, rather him than me though. I reacted pretty much the way you did too, UM, especially the excited and godsmacked emotions. It was like a religious experience for me. That was simply awesome. I would love to go, though. Just to know what it's like.

That would mean James May on the Moon is on BBC2 an hour earlier, from 9:00 - 10:00, that is directly after the first episode of TopGear. That would be brilliant. I can just imagine James trying to get a plug in at the end of the show. ;D

Hmmm. For Sunday 21st June RT lists: 8-9pm - South Pacific 9-10pm - To Be Announced. I saw that as well, but they have definitely said Top Gear will be back on the 21st. I can't imagine they will give it a different slot than it used to be. Also it said in the feature on the BBC website that they were going to show the moon programme on BBC2 and the plane programme directly afterwards on BBC4. Note also that the RT website uses a different name for the programme than the BBC website. Their info is probably a bit outdated.

That's a good idea. I can't set a timer on my DVD recorder for any analogue channels.
