We have the Sin Bin for all those things that make life that little bit harder, more awkward or generally less pleasant, but what we don't have is a thread to celebrate things/places/people that have made us that little bit happier. So I thought I'd invent a little 'pedestal' to put those good things on.
Of course, what brought this on is my desire to put someone on a pedestal. So I hereby nominate
My former colleagues at the cinema
I haven't been back since I left in October, but as soon as I walked in, everyone had a hello for me - and when I went to buy my ticket, hotdog and drink, they gave me a free ticket and staff discount on my goodies! So yay for them ;D

Aww, that's nice.
Nice man from the local housing authority where I live. I never got his name but I finally won a legal battle with them that I had been having for the past 3 years or so and it was his report on the situation that swung things my way!
He was a corporate cutie. Nice one Mr, whoever you were!

Can i put my little staffie doggie in here?
Everyone in the house was at work today and i was the last to leave and was too lazy to lock him in the kitchen, so i put my trust in the little sh*t and let him have the run of the house!!! Luckily i was first back this evening and hesitantly crept in the house. Was body barged by him, then looked around the house to discover NOTHING out of place or destroyed!!!!!
I was so proud of him! ;D ;D

Some of my fave people in TV I haven't yet named:
Stephen Fry, Phil Jupidus, Bill Bailey, Dara O'Brien, Alan Davis, Jo Brant, Hugh Dennis, Rob Ryden, Rory Bremner, Vic Reeves, Frankie Boyle, Richard Hammond - I'm sure there are more, but I can't think at the moment.

The students who put on a fantastic spread of ethnic food as part of a Diversity event, just when I thought I wouldn't be getting any lunch because the canteen had closed early! Especially the ones who made the Indian ground rice pudding. Yummmmmmmm

The Student Union, for having the most random Christmas gift sale I've ever seen. Which is why I now have a duck with a rather prodigious appendage for my friend and a Borat mankini which my brother in law will be forced to model for Christmas
