Bit of a bump, but... The sheer perversity of cats astonishes me sometimes. I bought mine a cat kennel (wood, carpeted inside and out) a few years ago which they loved then got bored of quite quickly. It has been knocking about so around a month ago I put it out on the back terrace, ready to go to the tip when I get round to it. At lunchtime today I opened the door to find this (temperature 0.7 degrees) This is Senior Cat who normally spends all day on a warm bed. She was obviously perfectly happy and stayed out there another two hours. I will never understand cats!

Absolutely adorable, Dit. Cats are creatures to simply enjoy. Trying to figure them out only hurts! ;D
I have several tunnels, tents and whathaveyou for our cats. When they get bored with one, I bring out one of the others. They think it's new and play with it for an age. Then tire with it and start with another. It's constantly revolving, but they use them all! ;D ;D

Aww Dit thats adorable ;D I think my cat has overdosed on cat nip tonight shes going mental I thought it was lovely the little feline discussion they had during the news on TG. Hammonds cat is called rucksack how cute and when James said his cat hates him and would kill him if he were 3 inches high ;D

I think James may have given Fusker a bit of a bad rap. Fusker appears to be quite a feisty little chap. But James is gone so very much, that Fusker hasn't been given a chance to develop a really good relationship with him. When I was at college, my cat was hit by a car and died. When I came home for break, we went to the shelter and got a six-month old kitten. She bonded with me almost immediately. I was home with her for about three weeks before I had to back to school. Then she was with my mother and grandmother. Every time I came home after that, she was more and more distant towards me. I think she felt that I was continually abandoning her. I wonder if Fusker may feel like this. James does leave frequently, sometimes gone for extended periods of time. Fusker may resent that and becomes aggressive towards James. Just a thought. I so need a life. I'm psychoanalysing James and his cat's relationship. I need help!!

Lol DMC. I agree with you about how Fusker may be angry with James (or indifferent to him) because he comes and goes so much. Also, I laughed when James said that if he was 3 inches tall that Fusker would kill him. Cat people know that that is simply the nature of cats. The most lovable cat would probably attack their people if their people were 3 inches tall. I know my cats would take me out quicker than you could blink.

No you don't need help DMC, we're just doing our duty in helping James with his 'issues' ;D I agree with you 100% he appears to be rarely at home - Fusker probably hasn't a clue who he is ;D My cat ignored me after just a weekend away

Fusker has a double around there parts. Not only does he look like Fusker but he's a bully and terrorises my cats and occasionally creeps in through the cat flap and steals their food. This morning I came downstairs and found him sitting on a cushion on my sofa like he owned the place!
He didn't stay long once I was there...

My cat ignored me after just a weekend away That's normal "come back so I can ignore you" cat behaviour.

Here is a picture that my husband took and titled "Valmont likes Oz and James" (Yes, I am enough of a saddo that I have pictures of James on my living room digital photo frame by where I sit.) And here is my lovable little kitten (yup - he is just over 6 months old and still acts very much like the kitten he is) taking a nap with me. And that is one of my two Pomeranians Josephine on the arm of the couch. She is 19.

This is my kitten Lexie (after the chick from monarch of the glen) she's 6 months old and completely mental! All I know about her is her mum was half siamese (pure black) and her dad was "4th generation pedigree" Siamese pure white...unfortunately no papers also said cat was no where to be seen. Still...for an almost pedigree...40 quid...not a bad catch ;D edit: should also point out that Lexie had a wee bit of a gunky eye infection in that second pic which is why her left eye was a bit red around the edges...all cleared up now though

Aww Heartabam she is super cute. Siamese cats are all completely mental. I think it is just the breed. We once had a Siamese cat that lived in the kitchen cabinet. She was great! Whenever we went into the kitchen she would pop her head out and meow. I would sit with her and pet her and talk to her. We gave her her food and water in the cabinet. She only ever came out to use the nearby litter box. Seems like a crazy restricted life but she was just so happy in that cabinet. She was such a sweetheart. She passed away about 10 years ago.

In addition to Valmont I have three other cats. This is Eponine (Epi for short). She is a shaded silver Persian. The one on the left is Pirate (we call her Pi) and Binky on the right. They are litter mates.

How cute, areomanda! I can imagine, you'll be having some quality time with your furries while you recover from surgery. My two tend to make me the sardine in their sandwich. With a fleece blanket over me, they line both sides of my legs effectively hemming me in! But they do keep me quite warm! ;D ;D

Yes DMC my kitties have been very attentive since I have been home and couch bound. They were very interested in my leg, or rather the wrapping there on. But for the most part they have left it alone. Except for Valmont who attacked my foot and then used my leg as a scratching post. But then he is a kitten so that is about what I expected from him.

Andypanty, your babies are all gorgeous! My lovely old lady Sindy (my sister insisted that we spelled it the same as her favourite doll) was 21 when we lost her. She was brilliant - a scruffy, tatty, grumpy old thing, but I loved her dearly, as I do all my cats

My kitty. Mimi. I think this photo really captures her true personality, which is devious and evil. Sometimes I wake up with her purring on my stomach, but I'm not fooled, this cat spends a lot of time trying to kill me. She's currently napping off her afternoon game of "Let's climb my human's legs while she's cooking with hot oil!" This is the weirdest cat I have EVER met. I love her dearly. And Cookie, who died of cancer New Year's Eve 2006. He was a calm, quiet cat who liked to be around people, but also left alone. Loved sitting at the foot of my bed, or on the stairs. He was very good company when I was doing my homework throughout the years. I still miss him at times.
